hi peep
im looking for a bit of advice from anyone with a bit of experience
im growing 4 feminisied northern lights seeds, their first shutes are just forming.
im going to grow them in 40 cm pots, under a 400w mh for 8weeks, followed by 8 weeks under 400w sodium. im going to try and keep both grow boxes going at all times, so will get a harvest ever 8wks (well thats the plan).

does anyone have an idea about what sort if yeild i should expect from each plant?

cheers peep

I had the same thing on my first grow. Only hydro. I got 4 OZ's trimmed bud driied. Killer shit too. Northerns are a good one to start with. Remember you are only lighting the top 1/3 rd of the plant. You need mylar and side lights to increase yeild. I started bloom at 1 foot and ended at 3 foot. When you go to bloom the plants will double or triple in size. If you only have top lighting you should flower at 4 or 5 sets of true leaves. You will get the same thing. Inside you grow short plant to use as much light as you can. 2 feet of my plants were wasted just big stems. Hope this helps.

No, you should not trim. One way of keeping a plant bushy is to bend the plant on its side (LST technique, do a search).

so is that 4oz per plant or complete total?
im thinking of trying it as scrog (screen of green) to get a bit more from the plants, bit im thinking 8weeks veg making them bushy might be to long this way. what do you think? :pimp:
