I got busted yesterday for makin brownies :mad: We made them at like 11:30 and i went home around 5 and was still ripped. I was eating dinner when my mom started sayin my eyes were fucked up. Than she said that she knows that Iv been smokin pot and threatened the drug test. So I told them we made brownies cuz we were just chillin at someones house. My dad started givin me the "your gonna ruin your life" speech. I told them I wasnt goin too cuz my grades were up when I was a pothead. ( I finished this year with a 3.42 GPA, 3.8 for the final quarter. With honor classes.) So then my dad told me that he doesnt want me to have to worry about not getting a job or into a good school becuz i cant pass a drug test. So they werent that mad, just worried about me. We didnt talk much becuz my mom took my phone and told me to go to bed. I passed out at like 6, i heard my mom talkin this morning to my brother and she sounded kinda mad. But she called me this morning to tell me to take the dog out and she didnt sound mad. I think she wants to talk when she gets home. I hope she isnt too pissed. Anyone else ever get caught by their parents? What did they say to you? Any ideas of how to get out of it?

Yes, I have gotten caught before, when younger. But if you are doing good in school and aren't really getting into any trouble, then it is hard for your parents to find a reason to blame the cannabis use for anything. This is why so many parents hate cannabis. They think it causes their children to fail at school and get into trouble, even though it is usually other factors that lead to this. Keep up the good work and maybe your parents will be a little understanding. Sounds like they aren't too bad anyways since they aren't really mad. Good luck. :)

best thing to do is go wit yer parentz flow, show them that u can smoke and keep yer life together. make sure u go out and do thingz so they dunt think all u wanna do wit yer free time is get blazed.

I know how you feel man. Ive been caught recently. My mom knows i smoke and doesnt really like it, but she lives with it. Unfourntunately i dotn live withhern.

I live with my grams and she found out. She didnt have any actual proff but she knows when im high or have been. She raised my uncle who was a pothead.

For you it sounds like if you keep your grades up and stay fairly honest to your a\parents youll be cool.

Look up some info on pot and myths and stuff so if they try to say bad things about it you can have good intellegnent arguments to come back with. I wouldnt start getting angry and stuff with them, just be completely calm and intellegent about it. Then they really cant do anything if you present a good case and show that it hasnt changed you in any way that causes things to turn bad for you. Good luck.

my mom hasnt caught me yert, but she knows that i do it due to my brother, he is a rat. Me and a ftriends smoked weed at a fairground and my brothers best friends "260 pound black guy" came up to me and i was so stoned i said "hey man wanna smoke some wit me" lol he was like "i dont touch that shit! now u got any money, i wont tell your brother if u give me money!" i was like "no i spent it on weed" and my brother told my mom like 2 weeks later. now everrytime i go out she looks at me and says "where are you really going? to go smoke dope?" i shake my head in agreement and avoid my dad, becuz he doesnt know.

my dad found my stash...he didnt care(since he smokes to) he was just like dont do it in the house and dont let me know ur still doin' it,it was acctualy pretty funny he was like ":when your 18 u can do aLl u want in your own house hell ill even get u a hook-up" i couldnt stop laughing when he said tht...but the downside is i had just got about 2 grams and he took it for himself lol

my mom woke me up one morning demanding to know 'what that stuff in the closet' was...(I had a chillin little space, a little chair, a bounce tube, a candle to see with/light stuff, bong, papers etc. and oh yeah, a ounce drying on a sheet of white paper. This was back in my dealer phase.)

So she wanted to know why I was smoking drugs. Being as it was, with me just woken up and all, I just said, "I smoke it cause it feels good". She told me to keep it out of the house, and keep it away from my younger sibilngs, and she wouldn't call the cops.

When I got home that night, I had to empty all my pockets, but I had stashed my shit in a ziploc bag under the shed, so it technically wasn't in the house...and I was already pretty good at sneaking out of the house anyways.

i was caught by My mom growing it, she was like " whats that you got down there?." im like " nothing, just some tomaters", anyways now im free about it with them, though i wont smoke around them. And if yer not letting it interere with yer personal bussiness, school etc. then yer doing good.

Yea thanks guys. My mom wasnt mad at all today. It was pretty chill. I wasnt sure if they were gonna be mad cuz I was high when they first talked to me. But today my dad was just like, "how many hours you sleep last nite?" (I went to bed at like 5:30 in the afternoon haha) "Now you know why they call it dope" I was just like, wow I smoked pot and slept 16 hours, im a hardass. He started to laugh but than asked about my scientific theory on brownies was. I was like, you dont smoke the pot so theres no harmful side effects. We were just chillen, nothing bad happened. Than we just stopped talking about it. So they didnt seem mad, just upset that I started again. I got caught back in October but oh well. Now it feels kinda good to know that they know and not having to worry about them finding out. Kinda complicated, but I think best in the end. Now I just gotta try to reason with them and convince them that its just like drinking.

They dont care too much if i come home drunk, cuz iv came home drunk a lot more. Hopefully they wont care too much if i come home high anymore. As long as I keep my grades up like you guys said. Which is easy cuz pot doesnt effect my grades at all. I actually do better because homework and classwork is fun when im high.

o boy well that does suck heres my storie(S) ok well i first started smoking pot about in april i went over with the this chick to her house and her other friend, both of us had never tried it, i tried it i got stoned and i was in love with mary jane that same day i had to go out to dinner with my parents when i was still blazed as fuck but i didnt get caught a week later i made a pop can pipe and smoked on the side of my house me being stupid blazed and paranoid i sprayed AXE(kilo kind) all over the house and i put the pop can pipe ALL the way at the bottom of my trash out when it was full, my dad is like have you being doing drugs? i was like no! he goes i find a pipe can in the trash.. o was like wth i dont know how it got there, hes like its ok ive done it before too speeed, marijuana, coke, i was like damn!!! and hes like so what was it, i was like nothing. hes like marijuana. and i was like yep... hes like ok dont smoke it around the house cuz i dont want your little(9) brother to smell it. i was like alright dont tell mom tho, he said of course.

i was riding in the car back from my friends after staying up all night and being soo blazed so im blazed half asleep and my mom had found my lighters before but she didnt know why i had them so shes like are you smoking weed and i was like yup you know it and then shes like why and i was like shit so she found out put me under house arrest and after billions of arguments im finally living with my grandma... omg my grandma is the fucking coolest ok she smokes weed she bought me a 1/4 last night and is going to buy me an OUNCE in a week or 2 omg i love her to death!!! my mom doesnt know tho but omg shes the coolest!!! im actually stoned right now but only a lil, dude i love my grandma well i call her nana but w.e! she rocks well thats my stories lol so good luck to whatevr happens with u

i started smokin pot in 6th grade an my mom found out like 3 months into it, i never got bud back then it was alwayse shake an occasionally i got mex so i never really got too fucked up, i jus smelled like it. my mom basically told me that pot isnt good fer you but its not bad fer u either, she told me how my uncle used to grow an when he went away fer school he told my grandma to watch his crops. an it was only like one of those, i dun wanna find out story. when i got into junior high i started smokin pot every day, i got nugs of chronic now an was gettin really stoned an i felt bad cause my mom wanted to be in my life yet i hadnt told her bout my lifestyle. so i told her that i smoke weed still an it is the only thing that helps my headaches, it also makes me happy(i was on prozac, and effexor at the time). she said that she still does glass an that shes jus happy im not doin that. so from then on i could jus sit at the kitchen table wit her and her friend while they were spracked an smoke bowls while we played cards. from then on it was alwayse cool wit her, she jus didnt like me smokin in my room cause she didnt really like the smell an my room was her closet(i gave my sis the other room cause im nice like that :) )

With that post that Lola made it reminded me of a commercial from a while back. It was that one where it was the parents in the bathroom and they were all concerned looking and shit with a pregnancy test and it came out positive. They make you think it is there kid they are testing for then it takes a quick shot to the daughter and a sad look on her face. Then it say something about being the youngest grandparents or something. Also it reminded me of that one where the kids are all hanging out and they are like bust out the weed man and he opens his box and the next paper has written on it we need to talk and there is nothing else in the box. Only one word to say for that.

Well I just registered yesterday so this is my first post, anyway, I haven't even been smoking for too long but I already know what not to do when it comes to parents just from this experience. Back in october/november of 03 I started smoking with friends just about every weekend. My friend would have weed a lot and he could never get a good spot to stash his shit so I took it for him and hid it for him. My first mistake was coming home high as fuck right after school on a friday. Since i was stoned out of my mind since it was like the 3rd time I'd smoked I could barely think so I take out all my stuff from my stash spot and since I was paranoid i had about 12 ziplocs covering the weed, BIG MISTAKE. I took like all of the bags but one and 'hid' them in my room (really just put them under my comp and in the garbage, obvious spots). Then I got ready to go out to my other friends house and get higher and my bag rips so I go upstairs and get another ziploc out of the cupboard. Little did i notice i dropped another bag while getting that one. As I'm thinking everything going fine I fall asleep and the next day get woken up by my mom on my cell phone. I just about shit my pants. Turns out since I'm a lazy mofo my mom cleaned my room and found all of the bags under my comp and found the one that had the weed in it. So i got fucked badly. I'm a good actor so I cried and told my mom that I smoked because I was depressed a lot. Then SHE FUCKING GOT MY CHURCH PASTOR TO TALK TO ME, man I was pissed. She thought I was all addicted like crazy but it was only experimenting with it. I've learned a lot since then and my parents haven't caught me since then. Holy shit I just typed a lot
