Growbox/Plant help

Here are some pictures of my grow box, and my plant. I need some ideas on how to make my grow set-up work better. My plant looks kinda sad, I've been watering her about every-other day, not letting her soil get dry. I haven't been giving her any furtlizer, because I don't know what to give her. She's about a week old. I don't plan on keeping her in this box during the whole growing period, 'cause I know she won't fit in there for too long. Thanks.

Also, I need to know how long I should Have my light on/off. right now I'm at 12/12.

Switch to 24/7!! The plant is major streching!! 24/7!! NOW!!:)

It's way to early to go 12/12.. What lights do you have running in there?:)

thanks alot man! I have a floresent aquarum light on there. I just set the light to 24/7.

How much watt's? You could always get a few compact CFL's going in the grow box!:)

yeah use a few Compact Flouresent Lights and you'll be fine right now its showing major signs of streching at least bring the light 2 inches away from the plant and make sure the temp is fine, use a fan so it dosent burn the plant. Right now just worry about the lighting then you can worry bout the furts. I only see 1 plant, I mean what are you going to do if its a male? Good luck its my 1st grow too

Where can I get some Compact Flouresent Lights, besides Wal Mart, 'cause I don't shop at Wal Mart.

everyone sells them just try to get the highest watts. Homedepot Lowes Walmart kmart target. Try to get the bulbs above 40watts each and remember its not watts in energy savings theres a difference. I mean how much are you willing to spend? Because the 60/65 CFLs are good but the need a different light fixture. If you stick with bulbs 45watts they would fit into any light socket. its all on how much your willing to spend. I really suggest you look around the threads 1st and see how many Lumens you need for 1 plant. You should post another thread saying VETS PLEASE HELP then post everything indetail of how much your willing to spend take more pictures and write down the dimenstions because they would really tell you want you need. and what if your plant is a male? because your only growing 1

Get cool white for veg stage..!:)

And all the streching you see, is from inducing flower at veg stage!:) You need as much light as possible!:)

I just started my second plant, and is already growing (I germinated it with the paper towel method). I have higher hopes for this new one...

if I move it too close, don't I run the risk of burning the plant? I can get some better lighting this weekend, when I get paid.

use your finger if your finger can take the heat so could ur plant and get a little fan in there to take some temps of the light :thumbsup:

yo bong builder. can u change that tin foil for some white paint or mylar foil , much better at reflecting light.

here is a pic of our set up.

does any one else have any coments on the use of tin foil for reflecting light.

I know they said its not as good as mylar because it doesnt reflect as much light as mylar. Check this out Zanders words on Mylar (http://boards.cannabis.com/showthread.php?t=37730) . As for foil I know you should keep the shinny side facing the walls and the dull side towards the plants ;)

The foil burns to much.. So do mirrors, if mirrors didn't, everyone would use them instead..!:)
