Hi Z, Hope you had a great holiday season.

I'm trying to work up a scrog grow and was looking for your thread with that awesome setup you had posted a while back and I haven't been able to find it. Can you point me in the right direction. :D

While I am here can I ask you a couple quick questions? Does stainless metal (like metal framing stud) have any negative effects that would make their use for drainage trofts inadvisable? Is there a time in flowering when Foliar spraying the plants is not good to do, like before harvest? And is Peat gravel mixed with Hydoton ok for grow medium ?

Just can't post to you Z withouit picking your brain for some info ,lol :D

 thanks
Bill

That thread is gone for good. Sorry but it attracted too much attention from the wrong people.
I would worry about rust or even the galvanized run off using something like that around water. The acids from the nutrients would have a negative reaction to the galvanization.

There are some foil spray's you can use even up to harvest day. (Hot pepper wax spray is one)

There is a difference between a sprayer, mister and fogger. You can use a fogger just about anytime. The water droplets size is so small in a fogger it dries before it hits the floor. You don't get the build up of large droplets that can cause problems using a sprayer. A good quality fogger is worth its money for anyone growing 20 plants or more. Imo. That is not a point of view shared by many. They worry that people will run out and buy the wrong type of fogger and harm their plants and blame them. Screw that there are only a few foggers out there that will work. The tri-jet fogger works very well but it sounds like a jet engine taking off.

Those foggers all will make micro size water droplets and are a good choice. They are all expensive but who said growing true quality is cheep and easy?

Pea gravel is a little small and heavy. Lava rock is a better choice if you want to mix it with grow rocks that's fine.
