on my last grow my plant was under a reptile lamp(15W) for about ten days, lol, before i got my MH. in the first 3 days it grew 4 inchs, it streched loads cos it was such a crap light. when i did get my MH, the main stalk got so thick!! & the plant was really strong , would it be a bad idea to deliberatly stretch it to make the stem stronger on my next grow?
any opinions?

I think the stem would get strong anyways, so yes, it might be a bad idea..!:)

right, if you bury the stem it roots from the stem (or so i've heard), my pot is a fairly large pot (cos i dont like re-potting) but its only about 3/4 full, when it gets bigger i fill it in (burrying the stem) so i guess my question really is: would it help produce a bigger rooting system if the stem is longer
