Hey what exact type of medicine is the best source of DXM and how much of a dose should I take to get the effects?

Well there is syrups and then there are pills. The syrups are hard to get down and cause more nausea, I prefer pills.

There are a bunch of different kind. The most important thing is to make sure that dextromethorphan is the ONLY only only active ingredient because other ingredients can cause bad side effects. I reccomend getting Robitussin 8 hour coughgels. They come in a pillbox with 20 pills, 15 mg each. Thats 300 mg wich is plenty for a 2nd platue trip.

If it is your first time you can choose to just take half the pills which will probably not be that intense, or trippy. It will prolly just make you feel lightheaded and 'different'. I would take the whole bottle if you want to get great effects... or if you decide to get syrup, measure out about 200-350 mg.

If you want to see shit, take 600-800mg. That will take you to a 3rd platue in which you will start to see shit and most likely have out of body experiences (very fun and also very fucking fucking fucking fucked up).

And if you want to see more shit than you would with 4 hits of acid, take 1000 mg or more. To be safe, dont go over 1500 mg. I think the LD50 is somewhere around 2000 mg for a 160 lb person.. but I would reccomend researching it before going this high.


For your first time, just take about 300 mg. It might seem like alot to you for your first time, but if you do less you will probably wish you did more.

Remember, make sure dextromethorphan is the only active ingredient by looking on the label on the back of the box or whatever.

the syrups usually only cause nausea at first because it tastes like shit unless its got other active ingredients which some companies put in so that at the low dose it wont have any effect but if u do a whole bottle it makes u sick (their way of trying to prevent misuse) but anyway just get robitussin max str. cough and make sure its only got dxm as active ingredient and it shudnt make u nauseated while u trip because it takes like an hr at least for it to hit u

While I am not a big DXM fan, there are robotussin gelcaps which contain nothing but DXM. I saw a generic version once, but the key is to find a product which contains DXM and nothing else. 300mg would probably be about right for a first time. This, perhaps coincidence, perhaps not, is precisely what is found in a bottle of 20 15mg gelcaps.

dont know. I dont take syrups cuz you will puke. take robitussin coughgels....they are easy to get, easy to down and dont make you as nautios

THe robitussin pills make me puke 1/2 of the times i take them. IIt kinda sucks, and i love DXM but sometimes have a hard time keeping down it.

DOLLOR TREE SELLS CORICIDIN... its under a diffrent name but has 30 mg of dextro per pill... and we all know how easy dollor tree is to steal from...right.

Cough gels are BY FAR the best and easiest, especially to measure out a specific dosage and theyre handy as well, take em anywhere take em anytime!
You pretty much puke no matter what form you take, unless you have a super stomach or taking a small dose.
Whatever you take make sure the only active ingrediant is DXM, otherwise you'll end up in the hospital.
I love DXM, but its not something you can do on a regular basis and anything above the 1st plateau you can forget about driving or doing anything important. Im still trying to find a dosage right for me where I can get nice effects without getting to wasted or really sick. Some people I know have been doing it for so long they are pros, they can go to the 3rd plateau and go out to a club and trip... I can barely stand up when I go that high.
Oh and as for the the last post about the genraic Coricidin, DONT TAKE IT OR BUY IT, People DIE from taking mega doses of Coricidin! There is WAY too many pure forms of DXM on the market now! :thumbsup:
