Is there a classic rock song that you just can't stand but it seems to still be played a lot on classic rock stations?
Or worse... A song that you really hate but gets stuck in head easily?
Man.... I got a list
My sister runs when Hotel California is played...
"Hey Mickey" Man, that song gets in my head and I hate that song!
So, because I can't seem to narrow down a particular song...
I'll rule out ALL there songs and usually will turn station any time one of there classic songs are played... Heard they have a new singer.. Still a shitty band.
Whats the band?
"JOURNEY"

Well it has to be "Magic Carpet Ride". This song was ok but Chevy has totally ruined it with their terrible and ridiculously over played commercials. I now cringe every time I here that song and I cant imaging that any radio station ever plays it since Chevy killed it. Not to mention they have been using it for like 2 or 3 years now. For gods sake Chevy GET A NEW THEME SONG!!!

I would have to say that any classic song once commercialized....as in made into a commerial....it suddenly becomes annoying as heck.
Too many great songs are spoiled by making me think of the product / commercial each time I hear it. Good marketing scheme but darn annoying.
Like who here can hear 'I heard it through the grapevine' without picturing a bunch of damn singing raisins in shades? aargh.
oh yeah, I take heat each time I say it but RUSH just grind on my nerves.
every song geddy sings is like torture.

That's grouping in Hendrix and that "Freedom" commercial. That song has about five awesome guitar bridges.

Yeah, it's like a Dodge commercial, or some type of rugged car or truck.

I hate "Freebird". Stupid lyrics, stupid melody, boring verses, and a repetitive, much-too-long guitar solo. Nothing makes me change the radio station faster than this song.
Also, remember... Some songs can get grating when you hear them too many times on the radio, or whatever, but please consider the individual merit of the song. Songs like "Stairway to Heaven" and "Hotel California" are now staples of classic rock, but they started out just like every other song - with a chord progression, melody, and lyrics. Stairway was an important moment in rock because it expanded the limits of what the genre could express and how to produce and arrange the song to best express it.
Think of it this way - they're the same songs today as they were decades ago. It's just that, now, even mentioning the title of a song like Stairway connotates so much more than just the song itself.

Folks, we've found the only person on earth who likes the Wings and not the Beatles!
i think that "Cars" song is pretty cool...lol...
classic rock ....i like the vast majority of what i've heard....
To me classic rock is AC/DC and shit like that...but i recently learnt that this is classed as "Heavy Metal" to some people....which I thought Black Sabbath and shit like that was...I like twisted sister, they fucking rock.
I really REALLY cannot stand Elvis...I guess thats rock music.....
...and I hate what MTV classes as rock...like greenday and sum 41 and linkin park and shit like that.....that really grinds my gears.

Presley's early records (That's All Right, Mystery Train, Hound Dog, etc.) are great. Then he gave in to manager"Colonial" Parker's advice and pussied down by going for the largest possible market.
