I'm in no place to judge because I'm a STONER, but I've got a drug test coming up too. So I quit for a bit. Don't get me wrong, because i'm gonna blow my mind after I take that test, but dig this. It's a lot easier to quit for a bit and get clean than having to worry about taking certain pills and doing all this crap that doesn't work.

I LOVE WEED, but It's okay to quit for a bit. And if you can't, than it's safe to say that you're powerless and are being dominated by a plant.

I'd never "go clean" for a job simply because I don't see the point in lying to them. If I'm going to abstain every now and then to test clean then what is the point exactly? As soon as they turn their backs I'll be smoking again and so will you. You want to talk about "priorities" well... it's a priority for me to work somewhere I can trust and be trusted. I'm also not going to put money in the pockets of people that actively support an industry so vested in marijuana prohibition (i.e drug testing agencies).

There are plenty of reasons for not submitting to drug testing. "I'm lazy and I like to get high" isn't even on my list. Blindly pissing in a cup instead of asking "why?" is what stifles legalization, not those who challenge it.

I just went from $20 an hour to $13 changing jobs becuse of random urinalysis. Am I slave to a plant ? Indeed. I am also a slave to my wife but, life couldn't be better.
I am almost on week 4 of abstinence to get a job that requires one initial test and then no randoms afterwards. It will take me a few years to get back up to my $20 an hour but, so what ? I am a musician and an artist and weed is my muse. I am happier now and that's all that matters -Happy New Year you stoners! :D

Dynasty's original post here makes perfect sense. I don't know why this one set everybody off, I agree with her point totally. I also admitted that I am a slave to Marijuana. It has had it's luscious claws in me for almost 20 years now and I have given up on trying to avoid it. Regardless, she still made a very good point. Well, Blowen, until you've dealt with PPD you have no credibility to speak of.

On the other hand, did it ever occur to you that it's okay to not smoke pot all the time. Especially if drug testing is involved with your job. That's when people have to ask themselves what's more important, keeping my job and having a steady flow of income, or blowing everything because I want to get high.

It's okay to practice sobriety and not have to worry about going through all these extreme measures (like the ones you mentioned in your other thread) to pee in a cup.

Yes, I concur with Blowen completely.
Yes, there is a way to tell if its synthetic but labs are bound down by regulations and protocols which dictate what they can test for and what not. Labs (US) are only allowed to test for drug metabolites and check the Ph, specific gravity, creatnine and excessive nitrites. As long as the batch of QF is fresh and not exposed to direct sunlight, it will pass these integrity checks. If the batch is old or had been exposed to direct sunlight, the components break down, sending up a red flag with the lab tech.

I periodically home test my two batches of QF to ensure that they are ready for the lab nazis. The tests I use are Drug Adulteration test strips (same type used by the lab nazis) that I've ordered on www.meditests.com
So far, everything is still good to go :D

The dutch believe it or not do have strict laws against what they call hard drugs( coke, XTC, heroin) , but the brunt of the law is focused on the DEALERS, NOT THE USERS. the netherlands provides free rehab to all afflicted users who want to come clean. Although I do truly feel the dutch are a little too liberal towards drug use, I think they have set the model for the western world that marijuana is not evil like the US government makes it out to be. You dont see people on the streets of Amsterdam going insane begging for money to buy more weed, instead you see them funding the local economy by buying large amounts of food and paying the beautiful girls in the pink lit windows. Do yourself a favor, buy a ticket to amsterdam, stay in the NH Barbizon Palace ( fabulous hotel right on top of the red light district) kick back, have a local roll you a dutch joint, and be at ease that the government wont be after you because of your own personal choice.
