Hey,
I'm so out of touch, and cheap :D I bought a used PS2 off a buddy at work, he got the 360, sold it to me for cheap. Well, he quit like, 2months ago, and goddamn no one knows his new number or nothing, so I can't get in touch with him. The problem is, the parental lock is still on it  I tried watching Sin City DVD last night and fucker a message comes up, says I can't watch it unless I have the code. It's a 4digit code with numbers 1-9, so you can how impossible it would be for me to figure it out.
I went into System Configuration, into options, everywhere about the system and I couldn't find this Parental Lock thing...sooooo.does anyone know how to get this shit off? Thanks! :pimp:

You can go old school and try every single combination. That's what I did to some guys locker at school. He kept cd's, hats, his mp3 player, his wallet. (it had 40$). And not to mention I hated him. So I did that, took everything sold it, And bought a guitar pedal. This was like 2 yers ago.

If you know any of his friends you could ask them for his phone number. Or sell the ps2.

Enter 7444, tell me if that works.

You might have to press 'Select' first, then put in 7444.

Nah man, no go. Neither did 0000 or 1111. Can't I just shut this function off somehow. Like, bastard!

Every guide I can find says the master code is 7444, one says you have to press Select at the same time as the last 4.
Change or delete parental lock
Press Start when prompted to enter the code. Once you get to where you enter the numbers, press Start and you will be asked if you want to delete it. You can also enter another code instead of deleting it. The master code is 7444. Enter it, and at the last "4", press Select at the same time. Do this again, and you will eventually get the option to delete the lock. Enter 7444 again to delete the code.

Really? I'll go try again, maybe I did it wrong.

There's a way to reset the PS2. Umm I think it's under options when there's no cd in. Or you pull the power cord when its refreshing your options after you changed them. Lol the second one is hard to get but then the PS2 is all yours.

Ya, I got it to work last night. All I had to do was enter the 7444 code number when asked, and it went right through.

Well some dvds I play (usually ones my brother has) say "Change parental code to level 7?" and you have to put a code in to bypass it, all I've ever done is pressed "XXXX" the "X" on the PS2 pad lol... always worked for me.. But I never had to choose between 1 and 9, weird!

Well, when I put in Sin City, a blue screen would come up, and says something like:
This machine has a parental lock on it and this disc won't play. Continue?
And it has a yes or no option.
I push yes, then it asks, "change parental blah blah... level 6?"
I push yes, then it asks for the code, I enter, and done. If I chose NO for the level 6, then it says, "we can't play this disc" or some shit.
I don't know, I got the fucker to work anyhow and I watched it. What a violent movie! I liked it

Well, I've got that too, but not the option of 1-9, it's just 4 blank spaces, so I press the "X" button 4 times and it goes past lol, but it's asking to change the parental lock, so I dunno what's going on lol.
