Me and two friends were walking in a park on a rainy day looking for a dry place to roll a nice J.

We stop at a bench, while i get the trees out and start shredding they are 'supposed' to be on the lookout. By the time i get to massaging teh joint i look behind me and a cop on a bike is about 20 feet behind me going straight for us. I quickly dump the stuff under the bench (what an unfortunate waste).

By now our hearts are racing although on the outside we are totally calm. He begins to interrogate us and pick up the weed. after about 5 minutes of total denial he asks if he should throw it away, reluctantly i was forced to say: 'i guess so, it was on the ground'.

He let us go and as we started walking away he stopped me and gave me the bag with about 1/8 worth and sent us off with a warning telling us to go somewhere else to do this. I was so happy as we immediatly starting walking towards Haight (the famous center for potheads for any of you non-San Franciscans).

Is this a regular thing or did i just get off hella lucky?

Some cops up here where I live, in a small community. I know some of them and they do give your weed back, atleast Ive gotten mine back, I had about a half on me and the cop came around the corner and asked what was in the bag because I was looking at it coming out of buddys house carefully but cop must of noticed. I knew this guy too and i told him i was getting my 'good stuff' he said he didnt care aslong as I went to a private respected place to do it. Some of them are pretty chill cops, but the ones that do let ya go with it, probably smoke it.

I'd say it was a combination of luck and communicative skill on your part. If you're shady or uncoperative with the pigs they don't like that much :D

yea ur right intheclouds....nj has pigs and so does fl....its legal in alaska now and i have a house there so the summmer is fun for me....a cop busted me with an ounce once and he looked to be in his 20's....one of those summer rent a cops so i said"look man...is it so bad, i was like here take some and have fun(pretty ballsy i kno) and he left....then he came back asking for papers...lmfao....rent a cops are fun as hell......i cnt lose,,,,uncle is state trooper and i have this gold card thing...its wierd

wow, hell yeah you got lucky, ive never been cought with bud if i do i hope the officer is as cool as your was. wouldnt it really have sucked if after he gave you the weed back he arrested you for possession! did you even think of that.
