You know, Bible quotes aren't really good at convincing non-believers of your ideas. We tend to regard that book as an ancient book of fiction full of ancient values that have little relevance to modern man. I mean, as long as we're slinging around Bible quotes, try this one on for size:

And the LORD said unto Moses and Aaron, This is the ordinance of the passover: There shall no stranger eat thereof:

But every man's servant that is bought for money, when thou hast circumcised him, then shall he eat thereof.

A foreigner and an hired servant shall not eat thereof.
That's right, according to your God, owning slaves is A-okay, and so is chopping off parts of their penises. And you want me to worship this creature?

On the contrary, you are the slave. You bow down unquestioningly to a "higher power" that you call a "shepherd" (The Lord is my shepherd...). Only sheep need a shepherd.

Judging fictional characters is not foolish; blindly obeying the morals of another is. You have to figure out what is moral and what isn't out of genuine respect for your fellow man, instead of relying on an ancient book that says it's okay to have slaves and kill anybody who works on the Sabbath.

Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death.
I am judging your God, and I do not see what is foolish about doing so. Killing people for working on a certain day of the week is just plain wrong. It is evil and there is no justification for it. The Bible is advocating murder in response to a completely harmless activity. That is absolutely despicable and has no place in modern society. Let's throw out these ancient superstitions and figure things out for ourselves, okay? Or do you think it's okay to kill anybody who works on the Sabbath?

Here are some more "crimes" that are punishable by death according to biblical "morality":

*Adultery

And the man that committeth adultery with another man's wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbour's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.
*Blasphemy

He that blasphemeth the name of the LORD, he shall surely be put to death, and all the congregation shall certainly stone him.
*Being disobedient to your parents

And he that curseth his father, or his mother, shall surely be put to death.

If a man have a stubborn and rebellious son, which will not obey the voice of his father, or the voice of his mother, and that, when they have chastened him, will not hearken unto them: Then shall his father and his mother lay hold on him, and bring him out unto the elders of his city, and unto the gate of his place; And they shall say unto the elders of his city, This our son is stubborn and rebellious, he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton, and a drunkard. *Homosexuality

*Being a rape victim and not crying loud enough

*Not being a virgin on the night of your wedding
