smelling salts?

I'm watching football and they just showed Brett Favre taking some big whiffs of Ammonia inhalants (aka smelling salts) right before he went out on the feild, right before the game started. He was all cringing and stuff as he did it. But I guess they are supposed to really wake you up and make you alert. Do they really work? Why donâ??t people just take a few whiffs of those in the mornings instead of coffee?? :D

hahaha,, theres stuff called rush and you can by it at your local head shop and it fucks u up when you inhale it or dip ciggarette/joint/blunt on it,mmmm good stuff,,, i have some of that ammonia stuff, dont sniff too mmuch or youll get a headache

haha my hockey team sometimes sniffs that stuff before games i did it a few times doesn't affect me too much
