I've commonly heard that eating while high can kill it.. and have actually noticed this somewhat myself, and everytime my friends come over and I smoke them out I want to chill in my room and listen to music but they go and raid my kitchen...
I've mentioned to them that so much food can kill the high but they think Im just saying that so they wont eat all my food...Even when Im at their house I dont eat a lot for this reason though...
So my question is...is this just a myth? Is there any kind of scientifical evidence that food effects the high? I've also mentioned that certain foods enhance it, (chocolate, orange juice, kava) but they still just think Im lieing.
tell me what ya think...thanks

i dont know it could be some sort of psycological thing where if you think it does then it actually does but it only seems like it is in your brain when it actually isn't in reality but the high makes it all different and distorted
oh well i dont know i find this as well.

I also think this. I've never seen any scientific documentation to prove it does so until i do then i'll think that way.

It does in the way that if you eat a whole lot and you can feel your stomach bulging then you start to realize yourself again instead of being zoned out and that brings your high down a notch. Same thing as needing a really bad pee/crap when you're high. It makes you realize that you're still "there". Or maybe I'm just crazy.

Even when there is a scientific explanation, I still will not belive it!
I have NEVER experienced it.. I have even felt like crapping and other stuff, but NEVER, has it taken my high away!:D

yes it does, and does for anyoen around me... but it could also be to what you eat. i can eat the shit out of foods that don't have alot of sugar and other energy giving nutrients in it (use your imagination) or food that doesn't have alot of fatty stuff in it such as butter and be high well after eating so much i wanna puke... but if i eat one bowl of rice mixed with butter and sugar (a personal favorite of mine when i'm high) i sober up quick... it's already been proven that thc is fat soulable.... and is my belief that atleast, talking from common sense... that certain foods would of course give you more energy (acting as an upper) thus atleast, counteracting the downer effect of the weed... my theory on the rice, butter and sugar is that the sugar gives you energy, weakening the effects and the fat (butter) soaks up some of the thc in your system... i don't know any of this for 100% sure, but i know what foods to turn to if i've smoked too much (been years, but it has happeneed when i've been to apoint where i had to sober up quick, and rice, butter and sugar always did the trick)

well today i blased around 2 in the afternoon and watched Sin City bc i got it for christmass. well i ended up eatin 4 little clemintine oranges and was still kinda blazed when i went to work at 5. i think binge eating is bad for your high but i think eating stuff is jst a fun part of getting high. everything tastes 10X better and u can eat a lot. this is also true for food u dnt like and will taste 10X worse. sjt my opinion, i would like to kno if it does "kill" ur high tho.
I guess it would most likely depend on your body height, weight, etc. I think that weed could have the same effect as alchohol, when you eat bread when drunk as fuck, you start to sober up a bit, maybe eating something while high makes you sober up a bit too?

because you tend to stop smoking once food is in front of ya, and as you tend to eat a lot and take a long, time while the whole time you're getting more and more sober, that could be why. There again, could be bullshit

i don't take along time to eat when i'm high... i shovel food in my face cuz it tastes so good, that's if i actually decide to eat, i usually don't eat til my peak has gone and passed and i'm starting to sober up... then i relax for awhile and smoke a cig or two while i wait to go completely sober and start all over again.

You answered your own question before you asked it! ;)
And I call bullshit, eating has never killed one of my highs, if anything it just made it more enjoyable cause I wasn't hungry. Now, one thing I've found that does kill a high, is a shower. Specifically, a hot one. Try it and see!

I have NEVER in my life eaten while high, and stopped being high..! It's just a "BIG OL' LIE" :p
I also think I'm getting fat, maybe I should go on a diet.. That means I have to "only" quit weed.. And that's not possible!:p
I eat like CURAZZYY!! When I'm high, and it doesn't do shit.. So I call BULLSHIT!!:D

Hot Showers dont really kill my high... Often the only place I can smoke if my bathroom so I get the hot water going so it gets all steamy and smoke, then I take a nice hot shower while im waiting for it to really kick..and by the time I get out I look and the mirror and go "oh shit im stoned" and do a little dance.
Then go into my room eat goldfish and listen to the smashing pumpkins or the doors.

I heard that smoking in the shower causes the smell to linger a lot more. Apparently it gets trapped in the steam and steam moves much more slowly than smoke. That's what I heard anyway.

Yeah man im pretty positive thats bullshit...I've smoked many times using the steam method and it has done wonders, its amazing what steam, a shit, and a little bit of lysol can do.
On the other hand Ive smoked without steam and used a shitload of lysol, febreeze, and axe. Only to have it reaking of weed all night.
I personally love the hot steam method.
