i have just been told of a program that exists that can be sent to you and when opened it secretly installs on your computer it then proceeds to track your keyboard strokes and if you have a web cam installed it can open that so as the perpatraytor can then use your computer as spy tool is this possible.

found this man if you can buy this then what do the goverments have (scary)
Security and surveillance software
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Computer spy keyboard monitor with email!:
This amazing software package is installed on any computer and installation takes only a few seconds. Once installed, it sits hidden away in the system and is undetectable. No one will ever know it is there except the you. It will then monitor all keyboard activity, page titles, websites visited, passwords, email and more. The user will be able to save and view all activities simply and quickly. The logs are encrypted and Pcspy will also email the logs to a pre-defined email address of your choice at set intervals if required so you need never return to the PC! Even using the Ctrl+Alt+Del buttons will not reveal or disable the program, only the user is able to do this and Pcspy starts up automatically each time the PC is turned on. The program has been designed for pure simplicity of use and installation takes only a few seconds. The program can be saved on a floppy or CD for quick installation on any PC and the software is password protected so only the user has access. Fully compatible with ALL versions of windows including XP. Download the free working evaluation version.

This is nothing new. Employers have had access to these technologies to monitor their workers' computer use for years.

Scary, indeed, but this is not solely the provindence of governments, there is likely spyware recording your keystrokes, (and mine) for purposes of profit. I am not worried, I am an 11 year old Danish girl, who posts here to practice my English.
