one of my freinds stole 3 guns from different cars and the cops think its me but they have no proof, and theyre saying " i know its either you or you know who did it so if you dont tell us the right answer we are going to know if you're lying" but i know they dont know shit and are bullsdhitting cuz i watch court tv and know how they workm,,,,,,,,, but what should i do,, i dont wanna rat out my freind ,,ne body been in something similar,, need help

What if YOUR gun was stolen and the theif shot someone with it in the future and the ballistics test came back as you being the owner? That would be hard to say "trust me I did do it". The burden of proof is on you now, see what Im saying.

If you know who stoled the firearms and that person shoots someone in the future is that a greater burden on you because you were intimidated not to talk. So its a difficult situation obviously.

. I guess personally I would aire on the side of doing whats right.

I was in a similar situation when young. I told the cops the truth and they turned right around and told the perpetrator I gave them the info. Then I had to look over my shoulder after that. So I worry about that as well.

If this were me, I would have to do whats right so as to not be burdened with a future death which I may have been able to prevent had I spoke up. So you have intimidation/retaliation to consider and a possible future homoside which you could have connection to if the perpetrator in anyway says that you knew about this all along. Then you are in trouble as an accessory.

And 3 guns could be distributed to 3 people in exchange for drugs or something so now there is 3 times the chance of something happening as far as a gun homocide.

Not a good situation man. If the F.B.I gets involved they will find out if your lying no amount of court tv can circumvent that.

Do the right thing thats all I can say. Have your parents accompany you to meet a detective at a restraunt or something and make them sign a document of annanimity in exchange for information. Thats all I can think of guy to balance out the situation.

Please consider this perspective. Hand guns on the street serve one purpose, to intimidate and harm people.
Imagine how long those guns could be floating about , passing from one violent criminal to another before being recovered after a murder or something.
Think about 3 guns out there in your society, your neighbourhood, the streets your family live ,work and play on.
3 guns that will be used multiple times for multiple crimes creating multiple victims.Go look at some pics on ogrish of what guns in the wrong hands means...then ask yourself what you are going to do with your responsibility.
Your knowledge is likely one key that can prevent all those crimes, and all those victims. Your knowledge will save lives, maybe your friend's life.
Its not just something you heard and dont have a responsibility to. You know, so you are involved. You own a piece of the outcome of this situation.
Its on you whether you like it or not.

You know already that those guns have got to get off your streets.

Or phone a lawyer.

i was going to take funky monkeys advice just so you know , but first i was going to see if i could get him to give them to me so i could give them to my parents to take to the station. but thankfully it didnt have to escelate to that since his parents already found them

Dude, have you ever heard of the saying, "you are judged by the company you keep"? Maybe people like the police wouldn't see you as somebody who's involved in this sort of stuff if you didn't hang around with people who are, and if you didn't go around trumpeting your involvement to all and sundry, like the stabbing incident.

You can't blame people for having an opinion about you based on what you've said on here! You claim you want help or advice, but the second anything negative is said about you, you become abusive! Hardly a mature response, wouldn't you say? Crazypthead is right, you need to take a close look at your life, and instead of either being the "badass hero" when it suits or alternatively the martyr when you don't get a response you'd like, maybe you could try acting like a responsible or even normal person?

There's been this crazy story about these two girls that planned to kill their mother.. so they got her drunk and doped up on Tylenol 3's and drown her in the bathtub. Only problem is .. they told people about it.. their friends.. people online....shit.. i think they even used a forum board. The point is.. they're using the online logs against them. As they should.. these girls plotted.. and executed the murder of their mother. What if your "friend" or whoever stole these guns uses them with the designed purpose in mind. To Kill.
That shit will be on your conscience too. Not to mention you'd be obstructing justice and probably be considered an accomplice to your "friend".

You choose what you think is better... Your Freedom.. Or Jail for a long time. I'm sure it's a no brainer.
