Na man just give 'em a good boil for an hour, poke 'em and when they're soft they're ready to mash. Then, like you said, you can add milk butter and salt. I just use salted butter in my mashed potaters :D

chop up into inch sized peices and boil for 20 mins,,when done add 3 tblspoons of cream and some butter and salt,. and mash and eat,,, or you could fill up baloons and have an old time potato baloon fight

thats what my grandma just told me,,, not the baloon fight though, juast the potato part

GARLIC.

That's the key ingrediant :)

I'd use milk instead of cream, and instead of mashing it, use a blender. That way it comes out amazingly nice and soft.

oh,, yes i forgot about the garlic

my taste usually prefer 3 grams ounce of freshly prepared herb (weed) to crush and mix into the patatoes

This is how you make mash potato; ingrediants, cooking instructions, pretty much everything you need to know.

Step 1 - Get more than one potato.

Step 2 - Mash 'em.
