There are Humans who are too compassionate to hunt. Raising cattle and other sources of food is okay to them, but that's because they are raised to be slaughtered. Not born to be wild and hunted down, like wild geese.

You want to live the way you want, you have to be able to defend yourself.

People hunt for a variety of reasons. They range from the need to hunt for survival, to the wanton killing of other creatures out of sheer cruelty. To lump them into a one size fits all category is pointless. I don't hunt by the way (or fish, for that matter).

I collect antique and old fashioned guns, mostly for the historical interest and because I like mechanical artifacts. It's one thing to know from a book that the people who settled this country (and Canada) used muzzle loading firearms as a tool for their survival, quite another thing to experience it first hand. You should all try it some time, to appreciate what courage they must have had.

I think the problems with firearms stem mostly from people who don't understand and respect them, and don't understand the nature of society. Saying "ban all guns" makes as much sense to me as "ban all marijuana". Some people mess up and give all the others a bad name; a law shouldn't be based on the few who use a thing wrongfully.

As for there being too many fat Americans, I can't argue with you there.

Guys, when you say hunting is good because it keeps animal populations in check, it's a load of bullshit. Before humans, that's what predators were for. North America was overrun with wolves and mountain lions who would do the job nicely. Guys, when you say hunting is good because it keeps animal populations in check, it's a load of bullshit. Before humans, that's what predators were for. North America was overrun with wolves and mountain lions who would do the job nicely. I think the real issue is people who use "things" irresponsibly; guns, cars, drugs, McDonald's hamburgers, etc. Law always seems to be reduced to a lowest common denominator level by those who don't care to solve problems at the root cause. Eliminate "weapons" and people won't kill - bullshit.

actually the 2nd admendment is kinda a false hope for gun collectors...the 2nd admendment states that the right to bear arms is granted to a 'well regulated milita' which in the time it was written would have been army non-regulars which was a group of farmers fighting with the regulars but not a part...ever seen the movie 'the patriot'? that is a milita and in todays defination a 'well regulated milita' is the USA's national guard...because that is how the natinal guard was started farmers guarding their homes and land
