Parents who don't care

Does anyone have parents who don't care if they smoke. My dad caught me and talked to me for about 30 seconds. But my stoner friend has parents who really don't care. They must have been stoners as kids. 2 days ago, me and the stoner along with another friend were building bongs in his garage, and his dad comes out. He asks him what he's doing. So he told his dad", Building a new peice for my bong". All his dad said was "Bryce" right after the piece thing and when he went back inside he told him to "clean up any mess he makes". Then yesturday the 3 of us got stoned in his driveway and he didn't care. We just had to put the steamroller or bong down, since he doesn't like us smoking in the car. He did nothing the whole time. BUT I wasn't able to go with him when he bought cigarettes, that was the only thing.

Does anyone else have parents like that?
Also, do all of you smoke everyday?

My dad used to smoke all the time so he doesnt care if my brother or I do. My mom is a little more uptight about it but realizes she cant really do anything either. I guess also since both of us are in college they realize they really have no power over us anyways so why try to fight it.

Every now and then in the last three or so years I could get my mom to take a few hits...but she didn't like weed all that much...she would rather drink or shoot heroin(her drug of choice since 1964). If I had grown up with her, she told me one day, she wouldn't have cared if I smoked weed, or did any other drug for that matter...and ppl wonder why I was taken away from her at only a few hours old and sent to an orphanage and then to my grandmas. Grandma, on the other hand, swore up and down that I did NOT smoke pot...even after I got sent to rehab for weed.

i think parents should care, you have to give your kids some authority atleast and set some rules so they dont end up getting arrested. If i had kids my rules would be, no smoking until around 15 years old, can't get in the way of school, and don't smoke where you're going to get caught. But educate them about how they can fuck themselves over. Also weed, and only weed! my morals will probably change though.

I think she just bitches becasye she thinks pot is the 'Gateway' drug and that I will turn to other harded stuff like she did. I live with my grams right now and she just recently found out i smoke. My parents used to care, but when I turned 17 they told me I could smoke if my grades in school were good, I wasnt doing it out in the open, if I helped out on their horse ranch, and if I was staying out of trouble. My stepdad has always smoked so now its cool to have a fatherly toke everyonce in awhile :P

my mom used to care. a lot. before i went into junior high she told me "dont even bother trying drugs, i've done every one, and i'll know immediatley when you're on them and you will never see the light of day again." i was in sixth gradfe and a DARE kid, so i was reasonably scared, but when i first got high in 8th grade and called my mom "dad" on the phone and she didn't know anything was up, I knew I could get away with it. I got away with it without her kowing for 3 more years. Then about midway through last year she found my peice, I said it wasn't mine, that I'd only smoked weed "once or twice" and she kinda believed me. Cut to this year...she barges in on me and 3 friends fishbowling the bathroom, stares at us, and just closes the door. Later that day she just straight out asked me "do you smoke pot every day?" and i said "yeah" and she just sorta shrugged it off. now she really doesnt care and just asks me not to smoke in the house when she's there, which i'm happy to do. i'm thinking about asking her to smoke a bowl with me someday, she's got cancer and chronic pain.....heh heh...chronic. I smoke out with my parents- of course I'm away at college, so everytime I go home I get to smoke all day with them :) Its bonding time. I told them one time that I was about to try some shrooms, and they were like, "We have some that you can just have if you want." I love having liberal, hippy parents.
