I think I am going to be using a flow rate of about .3 cuft/hr for fifteen minutes on an hour in a 54 cuft grow space. What size tank should I purchase and importantly how long will it last. I would like it to last the whole grow hopefully.

I would recomend getting the 20lb tank for the simple fact that they are much easier to transport and handle. I just filled mine yesterday for $15. One tank lasts me about 45 days. I have my flow meter set at 1.0 and it is on for 15 mins then off for 15 mins. The CO2 is off during the dark period. I have the formula that came with the CO2 system but I'm not sure where it is. I'm sure someone here can post it b4 I could find it.
I would also recomend that you check your flow periodically by placing the tubing in a glass of water and check the flow of bubbles. I say this because the selonoid on mine stuck shut once and my plants weren't getting anything. Also the little matal ball inside the flow meter will sometimes stick at the bottom and show zero flow although C02 is indeed flowing. A little tap on the side of the meter and the ball jumps up to where it should be.

Thanx a lot i think im gonna go with the 20 lb tank. I called a place and they said $48 dollars to rent it for the year. Is this a good price?

$48 IS ABOUT HALF OF WHAT OUR LITTLE HOLE IN THE WALL SHOP IN TOWN CHARGES US FOR A TANK.

Like me to pass, this one on . About 3 years ago a guy was tranporting a tank that was not tied down. It came loose and launched in the car.
Car beat up,
Washing underwear
lesson learned PRICELESS.
TANKS HAVE BEEN KNOWN TO GO 1/2 A MILE , TANKS HAVE KNOCKED LARGE HOLES IN CONCREAT WALLS.
REMEMBER CO2 DISPLACES OXG,,,, YOU LIFE IS NOT WORTH A GOOD JOINT. ALWAYS VENT SPACE BEFORE GOING IN. !!!! NEVER CHASE A DEADMAN!!!! 300+ PEOPLE DIE,EACH YEAR CHASE A DEADMAN. BLM
With out a monitor ,,,you must vent, or take your life in you hands.

I don't remember what i paid for my tank. I think it was about $60 or $70. I don't rent a tank I own it and just bring it in and have them refill it for me. You might want to shop around and find a place to just buy a tank outright. I don't think it would be much more $. Hope this helps.
