i think in some point everyone has had some type of paninc attack... really it's not the quality of the weed more of the situation that well tigger what gets to you, like for me, for some damn reson every time i smoke some weed i always gotta do somthing the very next day or with in the hour, that would freak me out....

basicly in my theroy it depens on what you do when somkeing or where you at, (Example: DownTown middle of Metro station park 2am with some bums).......

Smoking a "blunt" is probably too much for people over 30. Take a couple of hits, and put it out - or take a hit or two from a pipe. As we get older, we do not need as much as when we were in our teens and twenties.

I also find that larger amounts of indica is less likely to cause problems than a similar amount of stuff that is mostly sativa-based. Since I like both, I prefer to keep some of each (mostly indica) around to make it last. When possible, I'll mix a tiny amount of good sativa(s), in with some indica, about 85% indica & 15% sativa, and this seems to balance it out.

The UP side of smoking this way is that you save money, won't run out as often, and will feel better.

I often use a vaporizer (non-electric) pipe, which seems to help.

If we could only get good hash, like the old days, again! :D

Low Blood Pressure & dehydryation will also do it to some people. I lost like 60 lbs in one year and started doing that..really bad panic attacks so I found that for me I could drink a few glasses of water & some Orange Juice & it would level me out to a very mellow mood. I just don't like water and really have to make myself drink it,when I do I always feel better & the mj works better for me...oh yeah..also when I was sick & needed it,the effect was not nearly as strong compared to now when I smoke the majority of time just for pleasure....seems like when my body NEEDS it that I don't have any "side effects:)"...but now,my heart will race & just have to make myself eat & drink water...then it's cool.:)

It happens. THCâ??s a stimulant. Got many friends who donâ??t smoke, for just that reason (social paranoia, heart, etc.), same folks that can't handle coffee/caffiene.
And many whoâ??ve quit; especially as people get older their bodies donâ??t always dig the stimulation as well; the high becomes more a trade-off between the pleasure and the dis-pleasure.
One thing a lot of people tell me is that once youâ??ve quit for a year or so, if you smoke again itâ??s not pleasant anymore â?? all paranoia and weird. Might be an allergic reaction; after the bodyâ??s been pickled in THC forever, then gets used to not having any for a year, then the tiniest smoke will have you like on a mini-acid trip. But more of a harsh fry, not that pleasant

Anyway. Probably millions like you out there

:rasta: Merry Christmas to All, happy solstice, happy new year!!!!

Yeah I used to get panic attacks almost every time I smoked about 5 months ago. It really sucked, I would try and see if my heart was even still pumping and there were times when I couldn't remember how fast im supposed to be breathing. Really freaked me out but find something that you can remember to give you peace of mind, it's the only thing that stops my attacks.

this happened to me for the first time about a week ago... i've been consistantly enjoying weed for about the past year and until last sunday, i loved it... i smoked a miniscule amount and immediately after, i thought i was gonna have a heart attack and i ended up going to the ER... they gave me an IV w/ some ativan in it and said i had an anxiety (panic) attack... i've tried smoking twice since then and both times i felt like it was gonna happen again (i couldnt stop thinking about it even thought nothing was really happening)... how the hell can i stop this so i can go back to enjoying what this great plant was meant for!!?!?!
