Man what i dont understand is exactly how you can slap a criminal offnce charge on smoking weed, yet alcahol is freely available, and a blind eye is even turned to minors who drink in certain circumstances (in the Uk at least).

I really dont think it's no secret that if alcahol were discovered tomorrow then it would more than likely become a class A drug. But It wasn't is has been around for thousands of years as we all know! Then again hasn't marijuana?? Lol if so then i really dont understand why if it came to a choice between a drug in which people loose their co-ordination and morals, fall over, become increasingly violent and sick (alcahol) OR a drug which in the very worst case scenario would make someone sick shortly before they fall asleep? This is beyond me!

Alcahol is deadly makes people confident and agressive as well as the fact that it is addictive, and Can cause death when too many units are consumed.

Weed stimulates the mind, relaxes people and generally makes people feel good and happy, not to mention the fact that weed itself it Not addictive, and WILL NOT cause you to react with violece beyond a persons normal personality.

But, here where I live, they are so affraid of it, and they tell little kids in 1. grade, that if you smoke weed, you will end up braindead.. That's what I was told in 1. grade!

It made me stay off the herb until I was 16!! Now I don't regret it, I have good grades in my watchamightcallit, the grade book!:p

But back to were I live.. A friend off mine, got busted with a 1/4 gramm of hash, and got towed to the station, and asked about a hell off alot off crap..

And, it is proved that if you smoke before you are fully developed, you won't develop to the fullest.. One of my cousins is 27 years old, and dumb as a brick.. He started on the herb, and ended on some other shit.. That is not proof that the herb is bad, but you WILL NOT develop to the same level you would if you never smoked..!

That is why the government doesn't want it to be leahgalized..

Personally, I don't give a fuck if it's illiegal, I will never stop smoking!:p

And I also think all off the above is bull..

If you smoke, not to much and to often, NOTHING will happen.. Also when you drink a glass of wine, or take one drink, it will be good for your heart!:)

Why do governments do anything? Money and power. That's what it all boils down to. That's all politicians and legislators care about. If they didn't, they wouldn't be so rich and powerful to begin with.

The War on Drugs is good for providing the government and close friends of the government (tobacco companies, alcohol companies, pharmaceutical companies, etc.) with money and power, so that's why it continues.

Also, what could possibly be wrong with a kid watching pornography?

I don't think the problem is allowing children access to these things, but rather our habit of indirectly glorifying their usage by mindless distribution of prohibition. Maybe if kids knew the real facts rather than the droning propaganda thrown at you in the media and the textbooks, and did have access to the various substances / tabooed activities, etc (which would undoubtedly lessen the appeal - there is proof of this, even on the boards.) we'd have a generally healthier youth and society. There are certain areas of the world where this is in effect, and they're certainly doing better than we are on the subject, and can vouch for my hypothesis, as can people on the boards.

I mean if the government had no way to earn off of Marijuana then suerly they never would have bothered to slap taxes on genericly grown weed In Amsterdam. Look how many people flood to Amsterdam each year? i think im the one pothead in the world that doesnt really care if its legalized or not. i can understand the government's position to ban it because there are some health hazards to it but i think it they were to ban marijuana, they should do the same for alcohol and cigarettes. ban all bad substances or dont ban any. alcohol is the cause for many deaths of drunken driving and there are hazards with it causing liver cancer and of course cigarettes and their second hand smoke is more hazardous than first hand smoke.

Hmm well in terms of taxing stuff, it's so easy to grow marijuana that the government would not make all that much money. Alcohol isn't very easy to make, it's a lot easier to just buy it, and tobacco only grows well in certain places. I presume that marijuana will be legalized in the relatively near future, especially since more and more states are legalizing medical marijuna. I presume it'll go something like this, somebody will get busted for medical marijuana, they'll end up with a case at the supreme court, and it'll be made legal somehow. Like how can marijuana be a medical drug when it's a plant, and then how can states let only doctors prescribe it, it should just be legal for all. One great plan would be to sow millions of acres with marijuana seeds, and just let it grow like crazy all over the place.
