I don't think this is a problem at all, but I would just like to get a few opinions. I just recently harvested the main cola on my White Widow female, then lowered the lights for the 4 other colas to mature a bit more. The next day I checked them, and with the new light, they were growing like crazy! But here is the weird thing. All the new bud growth on the lower 4 colas is the most wonderful lavender purple color as opposed to the standard green of the rest of them. This didn't happen with the main cola and I know it's not a deficiency of any kind because the stems and leaves are fine. All elements of my grow setup are in check and doing fine. I have never heard of and of the White strains giving off this amazing purple color. Well with White Widow, there are a lot of copies and I have the Nirvana WW, who knows the lineage of it really. Anyone ever have anything strange happen like this?

my only guess sawleaf, would be that as you know its hard to tell the exact genetic background of a seed you purchase. They say ww, but down the line that certain strain may have been bred with others.... who know it may have dormant traits down in the genetics.. reminds me of highschool biology, mapping out pedegrees... ha i know i know not too helpful.... but yeah hope it smokes nice buddy

Yeah DirtyLinus, you are probably right. Every damn seed company has a strain called White Widow. I guess you never know for sure what you are getting with it. Only thing that puzzled me was that the main cola has zero purple in it. Maybe the color is stress related though?? It occured the next day after I harvested the main cola, then lowered the lights for the bottom 4 colas. All I know is that everyday they get more beautiful. haha Yeah I will definately take some pictures! :)

Same cola about a day later. The new growth is purple, but the old calyxes are staying green. I had too darken this one a bit, that light was too bright for the pic.

Hey Saw Leaf nice plant. I have a question for you. In those pictures how long did it take the buds to get that size after you started flowering?

The bud in the pic is one of 4 smaller buds. They are about 5 inches long and 2 wide. It is 6 weeks into the flowering light cycle.
