broken pipe

i broke my pipe, and taped it up with this tape called like "seal plast" then a shitload of electric tape. shud this be ok? or shud i hot glue it or sumthing then tape over it more? its a sherlock pipe, and the break in nowhere near the bowl, so i dont have to worry about taxis and shit

if its glass and it was a clean break it should work as long as its air tight.
