Nothing will happen if you don't treat it like your popcorn. (I hate the smell of that fake butter shit) I have used the wave on several occasions to dry out buds that were too moist to burn. Use the defrost setting. As an FYI, you can also use a low wattage light bulb(40W) to dry out those buds that were packed before they were dried out properly. Just place your stash on a piece of cardboard or even printer paper and set about 6 inches from the bulb (don't forget to turn it on) for about 10 minutes. Usually does the job.

why not try it and see for yourself? but it has already been answered here...

drying in mw is never a good idea tho...use the oven instead at very low heat and keep the material spread out so it's not exposed to heat for long. that is if you absolutely must have it dried quickly...

If ... IF

What do you think powerful, hot air would do to the bud? Superman stylee friend... super glue it down first, maybe? Also make a net to catch all the shit that blows off ;)

i like the oven idea. i like the lightbulb idea.

i dont know why you shouldnt use a microwave, but im sure there's a viable reason not to.

and it looks like it's been said enough that your schwag wont get you very high (if at all) if you already got the trichomes.

:p If you are going to use a microwave to dry weed in then it is best to add a whole uncooked potatoe with it, but prick it a few times with a fork (the potatoe that is). Heres something else some of you may like to try....put water in a cup, then stand a light bulb in the water, put in micro, then turn on........w00000t

Sometimes when you buy stuff there's little bags of silica gel dessicant in the box or bottle or whatever to keep things dry. Keep those. If you get damp weed you can put your open bag in a sealed container with some of those dessicants. I use those new ziplock containers.

Dessicants (dryers) can be reactivated by heating them at low heat in an oven.

With dessicants you don't have to heat the weed to dry it.

The primary problem with using the wave is that it's very easy to heat things up too much and it becomes a big vaporizer and remember children, you should never stick your head in the microwave without adult supervision. But it won't actually hurt the weed or make it glow in the dark or any such thing. It's a big radio transmitter, not a breeder reactor. A lot of the food you eat now has been irradiated in some form to reduce bacteria. This is apparently due to the fact that large food factories can't seem to get their employees to wash up after using the bathroom. Or stay the hell home when they're sick.

My son is not a big deadhead (he's 20) but he likes a lot of music from my era as well. Kind of impressive since it took me a lot longer to gain an appreciation of the music from my parents generation. (swing, rat pack, musicals and stage stuff)

What kind of degree? And you're parents are right, it is worth more than a certificate. I have two certificates from tech schools and one from Cisco and I have found that the degree would have been really handy and I would be making more money. But I didn't finish college, got married and had kids first. (in that order) So it's not really for them. And yes, I went to college initially to please my parents too but as I said, never finished. And my mom still bugs me to go back to school and get one.

deathbyvalley
12-17-2005, 07:59 AM
i know that the degree is important, which is why i'm gonna follow through with it. i wanna major in anthropology. i'm working on getting a certificate in it, too. i might minor in gender studies, too.

bonsaiguy
12-17-2005, 08:52 AM
Oh, those gender studies. Two of my favorite people are gay. One of them is a beer making buddy. (there are four of us who do the home brew thing from time to time) Can't say as I know any lesbians. I have worked with a couple and they were not very pleasant people. Way bitchier than any gay man I have ever met.

well ya gotta think bout wot a microwave does. it sends out tiny little waves and they heat up the particles in your food, which makes it warm, so i guess if ya did taht with weed it would basically be like a vaporizer :P
