high all,
Whoo! I finally did it, I finally quit my stupid, fuckin job as a stupid, fuckin dishwasher! I have reasons: First, the work. Has anyone here ever worked a dishpit? It sucks! Low pay, non-stop work, you're basically the kitchen bitch.
Another reason, the waitresses have dubbed me the Dish Bitch. I walked in as they were laughing and making fun of job, yet they turn to me, smile, say hi, yesterday, I told 3 of them to shut the fuck up.
Pay, low pay. Here I am, reading the paper, and I see they were looking for more help, which stated it payed an extra $2 more an hour than me. I have been scrubbing my ass off, putting up with shitty equipt. and I see they are screwing me over. I confronted him last night, he offered a higher pay, I said no.
I feel betrayed by this company. People make fun of my job behind my back, call me a dish bitch and smile when I walk past them. I scrubbed my ass off for them for 4months, offer a starting wage higher than mine. They didn't even offer the wage t me, they offered it to me when I quit.
So anyways, I am 23 yrs old and I was sick and tired of doing a 15yr olds work. I have 2 weeks to find a new job, I am wide open for a career, so if anyone needs some dope grown, I'm your man! :D

Good time to return to school so you can get a better job or career. 2 year degrees get you past the dishwashing jobs.
Good Luck and hope something follows.
btw... That was pretty shitty to offer the same job for $2. more per hour in the newspaper... Cheap bastards....

you should consider that. there is an abundance of patients who've received authorization to have a personal marijuana garden and sometimes those people are unable to grow themselves due to disability. i'm sure you know this.
all i can say is atleast your a good worker. most people in your situation would have slacked off, been absent, requested more pay, but you stuck with it and busted your ass and took verbal abuse from co-workers. i'm awarding you the e-trophy of excellence. congratulations, chowder...you earned it.

You know, I have thought about that, growing for patients. It seems the only thing I'm good at, and enjoy doing is, music, and I have the ability to grow some really nice dope. I'll have to look into that
I took a lot of abuse from others, held it in, but last night I exploded, Looked at myself and said, "I'm working with a 15yr old, I'm 23, washing dishes, fuck this!" So, I gave them my 2 weeks notice and now I'm looking to start something new, professional perhaps. No more bullshit jobs.
Peace :rasta:
you should have a chat with erceg or bouldercreekbud...one of those guys grows for an organization - i'd assume it's safest that way. don't allow my assumptions to limit you.

God I did the same thing recently, isn't it the best feeling?
Well enjoy it because it can be followed by a "God damn I
need a job" feeling sometimes. :) I quit my last job only
after a week because my supervisor that hired me goes
back and forth to California for 3 months each, and a week
after I was hired she goes back and and is managing me
through email and Yahoo messenger, and another manager
decides he's going to pretty much tell me the opposite of
what she's telling me so that I have 2 managers going,
"Why are you doing it like that I told you like this".
To top it off the manager who isn't mine came over and was
telling me not to ask the person behind me any questions
because he doesn't have time for that, right after my real
supervisor told me to ask that person questions. Then as
he's explaining to me, my real supervisor messages me on
yahoo messenger and I read it, minimize it since he's talking
to me. He stops talking, grabs the mouse from my hand,
opens up the chat window, reads what was said, and begins
to type for me saying, "Yes Angela I'll get on that as soon
as I am done talking to David." Like I couldn't have typed
that myself. Grrrrrrr. Glad I don't work there anymore,
but now I have no job!! :( heh

"A man, when he is able to work, finds no acre to till, no machine to set in motion, unless he agrees to sell his labour for a sum inferior to its real value."
It sounds like you made the right decision. Don't allow yourself to be taken advantage of by greedy companies. Be happy in whatever you do and don't settle for anything less. Too many people today are slaves by choice.

A lot of wise words here, much appreciated!
It's the screwing over that really choked me. I mean, I work my goddamn ass off for 4months there, then I see in the paper, the exact same job as mine, same company, an ad that reads that it paid $2 more an hour than I was making, starting wage. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if that was the original starting wage, $2 more than I was making after 4months, and they offer me the starting wage after 4months when I threaten to quit...? Sorry, but that's a nice ass fuckin there.
But I'm not bitter about it. I'll work there for a few more weeks and that will tie me over until I find something a little better...one where I won't feel the need to bitchslap every mouthy bitch there.

I would've demanded way more. Like 70% of your wage. Those fucks screwed you over, and you should do the same. Of course anyone could wash dishes, but it worth a shot. You could've made the argument you were screwed over for 4 months, and you want backpay plus more.
Ah hell, that job sounds too demeaning anyway, you did the right thing.

Exactly. They screwed me over, but everyone, except the waitresses, for some reason, treated me very nice.
I'm not even going to bother with argueing with them about backpay. I quit, that's enough. Good luck finding someone else who's going to put up with it for this long.

That was a nice reply... Deep man... Deep
As for growing for medical use... where the heck are you because laws vary from area to area.
Is a good idea and takes care of "head" too.
But keep this in mind....
Unless you too have a permit/script or live in a pot free country you can't partake in same location of medical grow so you'd have to have 2 locations.
If you get into any trouble with the law you may jeapordize patients meds.
Most patients who can't grow are stuck in a adult foster home or they would be growing. Isn't that tough to grow weed.. To establish new sources isn't that easy when your tied to a bed hooked up on machines.
Working for a cannabis club/organization is a good thing if your area permits you too grow for them with-out some sort of permit/script of your own.
The only down fall I personally don't like about cannabis clubs for medical patients is that they sell it for close to if not street value. Most patients are on a disabilty pention from the medical problem they conquered and can't afford to pay $50. a day for medical marijuana. But it is a source for meds.
Cost money to get the first harvest in too. So unless you got money for 4-6 months of rent and electricity for 2 places, plus growing suppies and food for your self; Or find some rich ass person(s) who are rich and would pay someone to grow for them... Are'nt those called gardeners??
I wish you good luck.
Best to quickly find another job before the bills get too far behind.
On the side you can look further, make the proper plans and take the proper precautions to the feild of being a full-time medical pot grower.
Schooling for a 2 year degree while persuing other possibilities in life at your age only adds to the survival skills you have already earned. Lots of programs from financial aid and student loans can cover that cost.
Hope you make the right decissons and take the proper precautions in life ahead of you.. Stay on the paved roads and avoid the rocky ones.
~peace~
You can get them for $0.05 and it sells like crazy when you sell them for 50 cents a piece. I will teach you how, just e-mail me.

good for you man, I worked as a busboy for a few months, until I c ouldnt take it any more.
Your hot, sweaty, smell like shit and hafta constantly work for shit pay.
Its just not worth being unhappy at a job. No job is worth it if it brings down your quality of life.

Wow. Getting license to grow sounds like a task and a half, whew!. I'm in Alberta Canada by the way :)
Who knows though, someday maybe.
I choose happiness over money. At this job though, the money was shit and I was unhappy...so, it was an obvious choice.

Right on! Good move, man!
It takes balls to bust a move like that.
Then, to reject their lame attempt, to retain you, demonstrates confidence and good self-esteem.
You worked hard at that thankless, piece-of-shit job and you'll work hard (and do well) at anything else that you decide to apply yourself to.
Also, don't forget to slightly exagerate on your resume.
(Most employers don't check references.)

Why dont you try an apprenticeship program.
Earn as you learn.
Electrical trades is excellent. Scheduled automatic raises every 6 months, great benefits right off the bat, great diversity as to where and what type of work you want to do.
check your local phone book under apprenticeship programs.
