what is it and what does it do to you? I've never tried it, but see alot of posts about it... anyone care to elaborate???

To deem DXM "very dangerous" is a bit of a massive exaggeration. If you do it right with products containing only DXM it is difficult to overdose unless you take an extremely high dose approaching 2000mg. In this regard DXM is pretty safe, but it has potential to be psychologically addictive and many people I know have done DXM days straight for prolonged periods of time. The consequence of such abuse could mean 'DXM psychosis' or temporary delusions.

I called it very dangerous because one without knowledge of the other ingredients "Guarifisen sp*, etc" can end up taking a dose that isn't just dxm, such as coriciden cold and cough (triple c's, skittles). And if you don't work your way up in the plateaus, to a first timer, a third plateau trip can be absolutely terrifying. My first trip was a third plateua, and it was life altering.
