I know pot is a pain killing substance but you also smoke it to get high..and doesn't smoke restrict the blow of blood to your head causing tension ?

I've been toking for 4 years now and for the past 6 months ive had almost daily tension headaches, tmj, or postural headaches..still not 100% positive whats it is, but it caused me to have all aspects of anxiety and depressionm, which is normal for someone who is in 24/7 pain. shit thats never affected me being a pretty healthy person and no family history of either even the headaches.

well it put me in a pretty weird position because i love smoking but when you have ridiculous anxiety from terrible constant chronic headaches and you toke..your environment and perception seems just with the anxiety and you become more paranoid..well when I'd smoke id notice it more and literally ive flipped out at least 50+ times, why dont stop you say? well i love to smoke and always have ..just curious about some input from you guys.

sorry its so long just kinda venting

Go see a doctor dude...and if it's because of the blood pressure that pot is MAYBE causing, than a regular aspirin (not tylenol or advil) will do the thing, as it is clearing up your blood a lil...Try that and post back...

BTW is your nick (king without a crown) part of one Supertremp song??? or is it king without a castle (i was thinking to myself while saying the last sentence...)

Smoking pot increases your blood flow, especially to your Head.

im confused as to exactly what the issue is here. first off, no, weed is not giving you your chronic pain.

but what you have to take into consideration is that cannabis is a mood enhancer. if your depressed, then it might just make you even more depressed. get yourself physically and mentally evaluated if you really feel that this is an issue. your paranoia sounds to be a more mental issue than anything else. no offense meant.

No my issue is...the chronic pain causes my mood to constantly change, like I said no family history of mental illness and ive never been depressed in my life up to about half a year ago, when I got the headaches, I used to smoke alot and now I do it occasionally cause instead of the good numb high feeling my tension would feel more severe, its mainly muscle contraction/cerviogenic(sp) headache, causes by bad posture shit.

ive been to psychs a few times because at first i thought it was " all in my head ", cause these headaches are pretty different and the feeling isnt like a fever or migraine deep muscle pain...very confusing but i thought I just somehow developed a anxiety/panic disorder and started getting depression, Im just wondering how smoking some ganja would increase the tension and not relax it, even when Im not in an any kind of altered mental state, cause my headaches have been improving and the anxiety and depression is almost gone compared to what it was this time last year.

the king without a crown is a song by matisyahu, jewish reggae.
