Hi everyone, I wasn't going to ever post an actual message like this, but I figure if the people running baked.com can do it here then why can't I? :) Hopefully they're not the owners of cannabis.com or something lol.

Anyway www.420boards.com (http://www.420boards.com) is a website similar to cannabis.com, and similar to many of the other marijuana related websites. We are quickly growing into a powerful website with many features. We have over 500 flash games and very friendly people.

Besides just visiting the site to show your presence, we're looking for some more dedicated members. Interested in being an important part of a new cannabis website? Then check out 420boards.

We're also trying to find new ideas that we can implement. One thing that we're in need of is a SLOGAN. If anyone has a good slogan please let any of us know of at 420boards.com. If you're looking for something different, try 420boards.com.

Check out the enhanced features at 420boards.com right now before you forget!!! :) Hope to see you all there sooner or later. I think it's always good to have several marijuana websites. If you've been thinking about running your own website like this, think about this. 420Boards.com is run by it's members, so you can help us make history right now, and again tomorrow. :)

Thanks for letting me tell you all about our site.

Firstly, more boards is often a good thing, especially if they have some cutting edge forums like it appears yours does ... ie. Want Advertisements :)

cann.com was among the first to have a seed bank forum - these days it seems most every cannabis related site has one ... that has greatly helped seed companies and ultimately folks in need; the movement in general.

It's not a zero-sum game ... more sites, forums, etc is generally a good thing for the movement overall.

With that said, if your intention is to match the size of cann.com, it's going to take some luck, a lot of work, much determination, and likely some money.

The challenges of getting traffic and building branding shouldn't be underestimated - it's much harder than it appears ... there are easily tens of thousands, perhaps even hundreds of thousands, of cannabis related sites world-wide ... and yet the bulk of people seeking out cannabis info visit a small handful of them; large sites have a critical mass of visitors that becomes self perpetuating - continues to feed upon itself and grow with less and less resources required to acquire each new visitor.

Baked isn't a marquee name like cannabis.com, but is short enough and more importantly with cann.com behind it, the Baked site will have lots of guaranteed traffic and resources at the get go.

Perhaps you should consider assisting with the development of Baked and/or some of our other new sites ... if you believe you have something to offer - ie. skilled in web design, programming, etc contact me via PM and/or email [email protected]

(I've already received some emails from others - will be responding in the near future ... for others interested, contact me asap)

I am skilled in some of that. :) I don't have plans of reaching as many visitors or getting as many members, it's only a hobby of mine that I think is a lot of fun. I like coming here mostly because there are so many people and messages. It would be nice if someday my site was this big, but I don't expect that because I'm not going to be putting in much money if any. :)

Thanks for your advice, I think I'll see if I can help with the new board.

(Admin/mods please let me know if this thread is not adhering to guildelines)

Just wondering if anyone has visited my site recently and if anyone has any
opinions or comments. We're still looking for tons of members, but that's
mainly because I don't have tons of $$ to advertise with. :(

Still looking for some banners, slogans, and maybe even moderators if you
think you have what it takes. But the reason for this thread is to just let
people here know about the site. Some of our members are really liking what
we've done so far, but I'm also wanting to hear the other side of the story.
Has anyone gone and not liked it, etc.

Anyone??
