Okay I have just started my grow project in earnest, just ripped up the carpert in the spare bedroom. gonna divide the room in two, one side for the veg, and the other for flowering.. I will be using (2) 3x6 flood trays in my flowering portion of the room (want to get a nice rotation going with one tray 30 days ahead of the other tray) my question is,, although the actual size of my flowering portion will be 5x14 which is 70sq. ft. my 2 trays put together will be 3x12 which is 36sq. ft. Do I have to worry about enough lighting for the whole interior of my flower room or just giving adequate coverage of the trays themselves?

Paint the walls with 'white [not brilliant white] matt emulsion paint. or much better hang sheets of Mylar.... flower coverage is the main thing but reflective walls will make the grow room that bit better...evey penny spent on electricy should be made usefull and reflecting the light that would normally be eaten by the walls will add to the health and productivity of the plants.

Mylar reflects about 99% of light,so it;s kind of like adding another light and not paying for it.
