went shoppin today!

was in town on my lunch break so popped down to temple bar to the head shop! didnt know what to expect really! so went in and was very surprised just like any other shop ud walk into! so had a look around and got talken to the guy who works there nice guy new what he was talkin about, was looking at the selection of seeds, then asked boughgt grow equipment, and he actually closed up the shop to take me upstairs to the grow room huge selection of lights and sum demos up and running growing normal plants! very interesting and i learnt alot to! the head shop was cool had everything u could possably want i bought a slick pipe and grinder he gave me a couple quid off and through in a pack of screens for nothing. i said id be calling back into him for another chat lol

he was recommending a lowrider plant and that one of his friends is growing one of them at the mo, and that hes looking at yeilding an oz from each plant! under a high presure sodium light, and using iguana organic nutrients

The plant is over a foot now. Smells great.When I open the wardrobe.

oooohhh Rasta im actually so so jealous u dont understand! id love to have a little baby to look after and feed and water.........and no im not thinkin about kids! still have to get thro college! but id do it as a hobby, not just to get its yield at the end of it, cuz ur goin to have such a feeling of accomplishment! and then to roll and spark up something that uv put all this time and effort into, as im sure kongo and others know its probally a great great feeling! all the best with it and keep us updated with picks!

Im using 125w envirolite in a wardrobe. very basic, its just a hobby, for personall use. sick of getting reamed by gansters.

I got my timer today, now I just need blackout material to cover wardrobe down. Im going to make a blind type device, that I can roll up and tie, when its not dark period.Ive read moonlight is okay, and thats the only other light going in to that room at night.
So, heres hoping, everyone, 6 weeks from now I should be pulling down something nice.
IM LOOKING AT GETTING SOME OF THEM LOWRIDERS, i HEAR THEY ARE GREAT, THE YEILD AMOUNTS ARE NOT TOO MPORTANT, AGAIN WHEN ITS ENOUGH FOR ME.

thats the excact kinda grow i want sumthing simple im not looking for the best results just a hobby with a reward at the end, the guy i was talking to in the shop in temple bar said that one of his mates is growing lowriders and hes lookin at an once per plant! and there taking up next to no space! Rasta where did u get that light and was it expensive?

it was about 40 yewrrrrrrohh. not bad price. I got it in Himalayan crafts head shop in Navan.
One ounce per plant? holy cow, batman I need to get me some o' dems :)

do you know if the sell seeds of lowriders there?

I think if you can of corse have your light horizontal.You get a better direction of light to the plant but of its workin ,

Also Rasta sorry bout this but ur usindg the red Enviorlite 2500 on the kelvin.For flowering really sorry!I have the 125 blue gives out 6400. Runs the same but daylight output of light perfect for veggin.IWhen flowering i use a 400w hps aggro light but with both blue and red enviorlites u can get some nice buds>Jus a thought now.

ok, Kongo say wha' now:) run all that by me again will ya? I know it should be horizontal, but I just never got around to it:) as for the enviro im using the fella in head shop said it was dual spectrum and would work for veg and flower. Is this not right? should a get another light? if so, is the anything at all I can pick up in B&Q cos its handier:)
also, I need to get some black thick poly pond liner for the blackout, im going to put a fe pin holes in it, but theres not much moonlight coming in at night so it should work.

Hey rasta you got a phone number/website for that head-shop in Navan?
And don't worry that Envirolite you have is perfect for what you want. Buying a different light for flowering is only for very serious growers.

rasta illl try my best to explain it was always shit at giving directions! em ok if your heading to wards central bank from trinity go past central bank and take the next left, not the one that goes down the side of the bank the next one, its called crow street! then go rite down that street and ull s a purple building on ur left go in there and rite at the back down a little stairs ull find what ur looking for and upstairs is the grow shop! hope thats not confusing!
