View Full Version : Very odd first timer experience

So, last night I smoked with a good friend and her boyfriend. It was her boyfriend's first time smoking. Neither of us suspected he'd even get high, but since I had just picked up a half oz of amazing shit for a great price, we smoked quite a bit, and he got some pretty serious hits in there. All of a sudden, almost exactly at the time he was asking if he should smoke more, he burst out laughing. I was thinking, "cool, first time, and he's really blazed". He laughed for a while, literally on the floor, when the most radical change took place. Within seconds, he went from on the floor laughing, to on the couch crying. I don't mean teary eyes of joy, I mean full on crying; like a family member had died or something. It was reaaally heavy. I had NEVER seen anything like it before. He said after he stopped crying that he didn't know why he cried, it just felt right. Either way, he was blazed out of his mind and enjoyed the rest of the night.
Has anyone else experienced or seen anything like that happen before?
At the very least, it's a reminder as to how powerful this drug we sometimes take for granted really is.

i admire that he acted as felt naturally no matter how 'crazy' it might look

Once i had invited one of my female colleagues to a party. The great thing about this party was, that we were a few who wanted to get a night never to forget, so we baked a nice choklade cake with a lot of marijuana.
Well.. my colleague ate some of the cake, and after a little while she started to cry without any reason. The day after she told me that she wasn't upset at anything, and as Nausicaa said, just felt like it.
It's really strange, and it's also the only 'crying situation' I've experienced.

i think it's maybe odd but not bad! It must have been the first time he really freed ihis mind and the emotions couldn't take it...we don't know enough yet about our body...

I dont get how people cant get high their first time. I got high as a kite the first time I tried it. At first I thought i was just getting lightheaded because I had been doing a bunch of coughing but I sat down and everything seemed like it was coming to me frame by frame.

Haha, yeah. Well, he hasn't smoked since, but he really enjoyed it. I think, like others have said, he has never really experienced anything like it before; he rarely even drinks. I think the experience can overwhelm people who are not used to altered mindstates. He has since thanked me and said it was one of the most amazing things he's ever done, haha.
I think the problem with first timers is that they often smoke incorrectly. He had a difficult time with lighting and inhaling the bong properly. I think in the end though, this just got him more high since he ended up smoking more trying to get it right.
I know when I first smoked, I was hitting a pipe and I just couldn't get the damn thing lit properly. I ended up getting some really shitty hits. I may have been drunk too.
First time I got high though, I smoked a huge bowl of keef. Got a solid 5 hits. I doubt I'll ever feel like that again.
