Hey, it is my believing in that if you are going to buy light fixtures, nutrients, anything that has to do with growing the great ganja, do not bring up the word MJ in the email that you are sending them, as that is the #1 source they can ketch you from forums.
They cannot trace us back to our homes from this forum without doing ILLEGAL ACTIVITY, they're doing the same thing we all do, just in a different matter. The website has to allow the forum to be iplogged, and it is not, if it was I myself would not be here because this website would have been shutdown already and our ass's straight up busted.

You can best be assured Cops/feds monitor these types of forums , With the hopes they may get a tips or a lead on some major grower/ dealer . Watch how you word things , Never give out personal info about yourself or exact area were you live, or work, etc, P.S Don't fall into the trap of becoming friends with anyone on these forums . Under cover cops are slick, They will lie , entrap, set you up in a heart beat . Feds will go under cover for years , To build a case on a individual, or group ,Don't fool yourself The feds have unlimited resources and all the time in the freaken world to ruin your life , and take your freedoms.

The po po's look at everything. Go to Google type in this: FBI Carnivore program. The FBI went to every internet service provider in America and had them install their carnivore program. A couple of ISP said no and went to court to block them but after 9/11 all U.S. ISP's agreed. The FBI look at every electronic message in America. Well at least a computer program does, it looks for key words, like pot, hash, bomb, islam, etc...

Yeh i heard something like that...but can they track you to your home? i mean..whether its legal or not? Personally , i'm not worried coz not only do i not grow grow ganj ...but i never have nor will smoke it or buy/sell it etc! And all pics are of my dentist's mum's herb garden etc.. ya know? But one must watch ones back!

Nope, they can track your IP address which gives your area, but if they went to your ISP company the cops could take them to court and get them to provide the info of who own thats IP address, if it came to it.

Today in the paper it was disclosed that President Bush has ok'd spying on American citizens electronic messages. It's been on going for five years. He said it was for the war on terror. Right. Dont post or type anything incriminating.

Anything is always possible. :) Just look at how Bush gave permission to
illegally spy on us. Whatever. Unless you're doing some serious shit, you're
fine. I can guarantee cops come in here, because it would almost be stupid
for them not to. I imagine it's probably some sort of free tool for some DEA
or law enforcement agents to learn the lingo and familiarize themselves with
real drug using people hahaha. The sad part is I'm not joking. :(

If someone was to do something like threaten Bush or something big like that,
then they would probably stop at nothing to find out who you are location,
etc. They can't really just see things, because for instance your message
postings for instance may not have your IP logged. Because this is a
vbulletin site they really are, but if you look at the html that's output, you're
IP address isn't revealed. Unless of course someone has privileges.

With vbulletin (and virtually any other forum software or server script) your
IP address is logged and people with permission (admin, sometimes
moderators, etc.) can view them. From an IP address government agents
can basically find you, but you can make it harder for them by using a proxy,
etc.

My reason for saying anything is because on my website I have it setup
where I am the only person at all who has access to IP logging for the
posts. I do have options to allow my moderators the same privileges (and
some sites let the public view them) but I feel for the safety, security and
privacy of my users, I would rather be the only person with this access.

I imagine Cannabis.com would hide IP addresses from the moderators,
because you just never know who will do what to become a moderator so
they have access to all of your users IP information.

Does any of this I said make sense? :stoned:

I won't pretend that it does! But your sounding as though we should get a bit paranoid. These computer nerds who work for the feds can HACK into stuff and reveal our IP's [whatever they are] or am i just spoiling the party with philasophical angles ?

Hello jay. It has come to my attention that george bush has presently had a brush with the law. I was watching the news the other day and it was reporting on george bush using illegal wire taps. Therefore breaking the law, and yes he did get caught for it, and yes they are doing something about it.

If your privacy is invaded for growing Marijuana without a judges consent of a warrent to search your house, you can litterally tell them to fuck right off, they have no right barging in your front or back door without warrants.

To get back to the main topic, DEA/feds can get at the IP's from wich our computers were made & based on but it would involve breaking the law, and I m pretty sure Ron wouldnt let that slip threw his fingers without grasping it and sueing the shit out of them for purging/exploiting his domain.

who cares even if they did know where you lived? have no reason for them to go all the way to the judge and get a warrant signed, to check your place out. not only that, but some people don't even have enough ganja to care about you.

I suppose it's ok for outside growers - I mean, what are the cops gonna do - search every single field thats in a 20 mile radius from your address? Bollocks.

Fabolous
01-06-2006, 07:22 AM
no worrys, if they really wanted to know, the FBI would just get all logged IP and trace them back to your house, therefore issueing a warrent for entry. but it hasn't happen yet No has it?

I've had the FBI and Scotland Yard onto me once for a post on an internet forum. Police actually knocked on my door within 20 minutes. But it wasn't traced by IP, they only knew my name and location!

So don't use your real name, don't put links to sites with your real name, don't put your face as an avatar (especially if you look Muslim and are behind the controls of a plane), don't state location, and use a proxy.....

Shit, I've just gone against every single one of those! :rasta: :stoned:
