Myself, I'd switch them to 18/6 until their about 18-21 inches then over to 12/12 for flowering. Good Luck!!

I have them on 18/6 now...thank you Psycho, but how do i make them grow wider? I have 3/ 75 watt agro grow lights on 2 plants, ( 225 watts ) in a 2 x 3 foot area. the lights are approximately 9 to 10 inches away from the plants. Is there anyway to make the plants grow wider ( MEANING: can i make the leaves grow more to catch up with the stem? ) Anything i can do please let me know.

Thanks a lot dudes.......

Hello SJ :) well to be honest love I don't know what the lights are that you are using, I only know about MH and HPS :o .
Firstly you're plants do not sound ready for inducing yet, still to small in my veiw ;)

Can I just ask you how old they are ?

love mand xxx :)

hey mand, do you know about colors. and if you do would an MH bulb be blue or red. I have both MH and HPS but im trying to figure out what would make denser, more resinous buds and i read it had to do with color. --Not trying to hijack your thread sloppy just a quick question--

MH has a blue spectrum and HPS has red. Use MH for veg and HPS for flower.

I actually used both simultaneously for veg and flower. Seems to be working well.

Hope that helps

Damn.....my thread got taken over......lol. I've been jacked!!!!!!!! haha.

Well, mand....the light i'm using are grow lights specifically made in the us for growing. Philips makes them.

I've lost track of how old the plants are exactly, but they are within 2 or 3 days of being 6 weeks old now.

Is that too small for 6 weeks? please let me know. thanks babe.

You can begin to flower your plants in a 12/12 cycle after they form what is known as calyx development. Below is a picture of a calyx. I hope mthis was of help to you.
