i'm frowing lowryder and as you probably know it's an auto flower strain. at 3 weeks it started to flower under 24hours of mh. when i switched to hps it got all droopy. do you know why? or what i should do?

do you think i should us the mh for the entire life of the plant?

What temperature range are you talking about?

the light is 1.5 feet from the top of the plant, and the temp is staying between 70-80 degrees.(thats the best i can do with temp harf for me to control) the wierd part is ;that it droops when i have the hps on it but if i put in the mh it does fine, like it is super perky. the only difference is the light.

Well sorry but give it what it wants. That's a little early to auto flower I would think. I don't grow auto flowering plants they have to high of a phenom rate for my taste. I do hear good things about that plant but the time I tried it the yield was low and not up to par for me.

Could it be a clone?

no i started fromseed. I agree with you that that is realy fast, but it is at it's 6th node of true leaves. it also has extremly developed secondaryies. the secondaries are so big that they look like the top of the plant. it's realy interesting. it's only 4 inches tall.

Try to raise the light the plant will reach for it and grow taller.

Well if it is flowering then there is not much you can do but you still have about 50 day's or so for it to finish I assume.

the whole plant is supose to finish within 70days. It's a realy neat idea that it'ss oo small and fast fut it is realy limiting in the amount of bud it wil produce. I jus did one to test it out, i'm gonna use the rest of my seads out side this summer. they will be prety much undetectabel.


Ohh ann why do you think i should make it stretch?? i don't understand why i would want that to happen?

I think you want it to stretch because the bigger the stems are, the bigger the buds they can hold will be. Make sure you get the lights as close as possible once they stop stretching though. You want them to fill out as much as possible too.

so you're saying that since it's started flower i should make it stretch so that the bud sites will stretch. then once the stretching has stopped move the light back in so i end up with elongated bud sites that cang et just as dense as they would if i didn't stretch?

thanks for your assisntace Zandor.i don'tkonw if you saw it but i offered you a chalenge. If you want to test the DSC (deep soil culture) hahahaha against hydro i'll send you like 4 feminized seeds to do the comparison. just a thought for you.

I think I will modify how I keep my mothers and add an air stone to the catch bucket and raise the level of the water. That may be intresting but putting air stones in the dirt............I don't think so yet. I'll wait and see how you do first.

can't don't have the space to run a hydro comparison. i do have a plant iwth an air stone in the soil as of right now. to be honest i think it realy doe make a difference. but on the other hand i don't have anyting to compair it to. it's the lowryder i posted about on theis thread. I figured i might be ablet to 2.) make it finich even faster or b.) make to be able to take up more nutes and finish wiht bigger buds. either on e would be good.

I 'll tell you what i will do. this summer right beforei out door season i'll put one grapefruit in soil with an sir stone and one with out and compare the affects of soil with air stone to soil without.

eventualy they will both go out doors to become monster trees :)
