You don't have to spend money. Just get yourself out there. Get around more girls, wherever they hang out, go to a bar and milk your drink there's gonna be a girl who either doesn't care about material wealth or just wants to fuck someone. Or a drunk girl.

if i work, and have a car, and can support myself, i expect a guy that i'm with to do the same. i've been through the whole "boyfriend doesn't have a car" and i was the one who got stuck driving him to work, picking him up, taking him here and there and it was stupid. i'm not materialistic, but then again, i don't wanna pay every single time i go out with my SO. i don't mind going dutch, but i'm not gonna pay your way all the time. basically, if a guy can't support himself, girls usually get the red flag and move on to worthier men.

i don't need a guy with a car. my current boyfriend doesn't have one. we make do. what i meant, though, was that my ex was 26, lived half an hour from where he worked, and I was the one who had to drive him to work. i'm 18, i have my own car, pay for my own gas as well as other expenses i have, and HE had to rely on ME. i don't need a guy with a car, as i stated before, but it's kinda of stupid to not have a car if you live on your own in los angeles, because you really do NEED a car to get around. it got annoying when i had to pick him up to go on dates, end up picking up the bill because he got shit tips the night before, and pretty much had to depend on his 18 year old girlfriend (no, i was 17 at the time, same conditions of gas, my own car, and other shit i had to pay for...) to have a good time and stuff. it was lame. i don't think it's stupid to want a guy who can support himself and not depend on me to drive us everywhere. you can pretty much ask and heterosexual female, and from my experience, they'd say the same thing. don't give me any misogyinstic bullshit about it, nor any femenazi crap, either. i consider myself a femenist, but the idea of being picked up at home after getting ready for my man doesn't bother me in the least. you really have no basis for calling me 'stupid' other than your lame attempt to make me seem materialistic.
