not overwatering them . i have a moisture meter, i read in another thread that the hps bulbs would do this to the plant but the mh brings them back to life is this true? i have a 1000w hps, 2x3x7 grow box, light is 27" of the top of the plants. any advice anyone?

had to take out the 1000w hps and put 400w mh in. they were getting worst under the 1000w hps , dehydration was starting some of the bootom leafs dried out . so i started CPR feed them peters 20-20-20. misted them down real good and seems as though theyre bouncing back. any suggestions on this update? pic 1 was 7inches last post. 12inches. pic 2 was 7 and now 11, and the small one was 4 now 7. in pic 5 could this be a female?

Hello Mobay :) I can't see anything to indicate the gender yet but they are looking much much better under the MH :)
You can start on the 12/12 cycle whenever you wish, I tend to start about a foot and a half so that I end up with plants about three feet. However it's all down to persnonal preference ;)

when the nodes start to alternate is a good sign usually after the 7th node i think it is or over 12inchs dependin on strain and yur grow size

the seeds came from jamacia in oct 05 . the trees were over 6 ft tall cause i was looking up at them. :rasta: didnt want them to get that tall cause of my grow box pic 2. so between 6-8 weeks would be fine? the 7th node is there but hasnt spread its wings yet.

well if the max plants strech is about 2-3 times there veg height and you look like the grow box is about same height as mine i would let them get to about 12inchs and flower :D

Hello Mobay :) I have to say that even though there is that droopy look about them I wouldn't worry, honestly Mobay I have no idea what cuases it. On my last grow it was when I switched from the MH to the HPS but I am pretty certain the bulb is ok.

However everything else is looking really good :) The leaves are a nice colour, the plants are nice and bushy, and there is plenty of new growth growing well.
All is coming along very well, you must keep us updated .................. soon be flowering time :)

mobay so how does your ventilation work as far as intake and exhaust I need more detail please cause I'm still having a major problem with the temps. Harddon said that I needed a High static fan but my pockets are extremly low due to the fact that I already wasted a lot of money on the grow and X-mas. :mad: So maybe I can get an idea Oh dont forget to mention your cool tube too. TC showed me some ideas awhile ago on different boxes and i have one of the intake / exhaust fans. the cool tube as well one of TC websites maryland hydroponics. the temp in my box stayed at 85 degrees and the humidity was 40%.

my set up had to take a delay. as i was being handed the boards up to the attic one of the 3x6 pieces slipped out of my hands and i yelled oh shit and it feel onto my ladies foot. she was screaming bad. she knocked the ladder over and now she is on the floor in pain and iam stuck up in the attic with no way down. if i jump down iam going to land on her. so i had to wait till she rolled out the way , felt like 10mins. she ok now bruised and all , and we were joking around and i said if you were black and i said oh shit you would have ran out the way. but beings though you white you turned around and wanted to see what happened, and look at you now. that joke just made her start laughing shes a trooper.

mobay how many cfms do ur fans push both intake and exhust?

buk i really dont know how many cfms it blows, i seen that TC had one on his grow box and he's been growing for over a decade so i had a fan and i put it in. the cfms to my cool tube is 265cfms. it pushes the heat from the tube out quickly, also i have to open the windowcause it will get hot in there. the intake /exhaust fan i have has 3 speeds on it so i have it on low now and its reading 82 degrees. medium will bring it down to about 79 degrees. Buk hope that helps you . the fan i found at walmart. about 2 years ago though.

Hey mobay, I would not leave a male in the same room as females for more than 48 hours if you have them on 12/12 of 2 days. With in 2-3 weeks time, you will notice insane growth in your girls if your leaving them on 12/12, as they can almost double in size in early stages of flowering.

The reason I can't give you an exact anwser is because you said your seed strains were unknown. Different strains have different tolerances for nutrients. Some do not take alot of nutrients very well as others will.

I got my white widow , big bud, and 5 of the Jamacian seeds germing right now. So back to square 1. I been reading and they say hydro will grow them faster is this really true?

Yes hydro is faster Mobay. You will get higher yields and faster growth. Potency will remain the same and your plants will look a lighter green.

If I were you being a first time grower.. I'd perfect a sucessful soil harvest before going soiless.
lots of educatiuonal values and such...
Growing is quite easy... The more simple and cheap ways created, then greater the harvest.
This is a pic of my last harvest in October. I use 2-400 hps for bloom, 5 gal. grow bags and soil with matching nutrients... See... cheap and easy!

Mobay...are you planning on a SOG? Because from what I've read, hydro grows have a lot more horizontal growth. And it looks like your plants aren't too spaced out. I'm not too sure if this would even be a problem, but just wanted to tell you just in case you didn't know. :D Goolduck.
