My grow space is a cabinet 24" wide by 16" deep by about 70" tall. As for lighting, I have 4 - 24" 20w agro sun fluorescent bulbs. These four light fixtures are mounted together and have aluminum foil over the top of them. This should ensure that no light escapes above them no matter how low I hang them in the cabinet.

Eventually, I would like to have an HPS hortilux light supplemented by these fluorescents but that is currently out of my budget. These agro sun fluorescents are 5850 on the kelvin scale and each has 975 lumens.

Two plants in three gallon buckets will fit quite nicely in the cabinet but I dont know if I have enough lighting for two plants. Is this even enough light for one plant? I hope to be able to make it through both the veg. and flowering stages with these lights.

What kind of a yield do you think I can expect with this setup? This will be my first grow by the way.

Here are some pics of the cabinet

thats a cool little beginers indoor setup
now your thread title is kinda off seeing the obvious of two buckets in there and asking about yeild on two plants :)
but to stick to the title ,..smaller pots maybe four tall small ones
i started simular to your setup and grew eight small plants ..four on bottom four suspended on wire mess in the middle
but for that my lights were vertical (back and left right sides)

the only problem was shitty floro power useing no ballast and NO air vent as i see you dont have from the angles of the pics i can see at least ...assumeing your not gonna leave that open like that

but good luck and happy growing

If it gets too hot in there I will put a fan into the atic.

It would be cool to have four smaller plants but I was under the impression that my lights arent powerful enough to flower four plants.

Regardless of how many plants I have, about how much yield can I get with these 4 fluorescent lights?

They won't do much in flower..!:(

But you can always buy a couple of CFL's to give a little more light!:)

Good luck!:D

Sorry to be the one to say it but i personally think u`ll be lucky to grow a few seedlings with the light set up u have in there!!!
Think u really need to go back to the drawing board and do a little research!!
As regards yield??? with 4 - 20 watt bulbs giving off a pitiful lumen i`d say u`d be lucky if one plant would even make it to the flower stage by this time next year!!!
if u got a joints worth u`d have done a top job!!
Good Luck

Man I was hoping that wasn't the truth. I guess I will just see what I can do with one plant then.

Judging by the size of the closet (24 x 16 x 70), how powerfull of a hortilux hps do you think I could use if I bought one with a fan in the hood ?
