England got a really nice draw compared to the US being stuck in a group with Italy and the Czech Republic

England vs. Sweden is going to be a great game for obvious reasons.
Argentina vs. Netherlands is also going to be a first round classic.
USA vs. Italy will be a good one.
Germany vs. Poland will sure be a fight as well.

Can England win again after 40 years since the last time?
I can see it. Rooney, Owen, Beckham, among others..
I think England can definitely win. If they win in Germany it would be a double victory.
I'm still waiting for a US vs. England WC rematch too.
Can't friggin' wait for June.

i think its a good group for england to be in, and history aside regarding sweden, we should win it. besides if we can't beat a team like sweden then we're either not good enough nor deserve to win the world cup.
i don't think who u play in the group matters. even if its a really tough group you still have to beat the best to go all the way and have a bit of luck.
and luck is something we don't have much of what with penalty shootouts some disgraceful calls from the ref, the usual pre tournament freindly injury, overpaid preening premiership superstars not shining on the pitch as brighty as they do in fucking heat magazine!
And Sven? what does everbody think about him? ok he does have quite an impressive record, only lost 3 competitive matches, but he hasn't won any competitions and there doesn't seem to be much passion there, he seems too distant and analytical at times (thats only my opinion and i have neither scientific or anecdotal evidence to back it up). and sometimes they come out in the second half and i'm sat there thinking "what on earth did he say to them in there for them to be playing like this!". added to the fact that having seen england beat germany 5-1 away (the best england moment for 39 years) knowing that if they play their very best they COULD beat any team in the world it can be shocking to watch sometimes.
its strange how every time the world cup comes around we all start to belive that oh yeah england, we've got a great chance this year, the team, everythings been coming to this moment! right up untill the moment they're playing like donkeys i can barely watch through my hands and qualification for the second round is looking a bit less straightforward than it was an hour ago.
i can't fucking wait! EN-GER-LAND EN-GER-LAND EN-GER-LAND etc
do you think the fact that having so many premiership players representing their countries may go in favour or against england? or make no difference whatsoever.... maybe i'd put up a poll if i knew how, no.
