Not true, you just have to know where to get it from! I get LSD, and one hit is fucking intense beyond words. The most I've taken is three, and all I was capable of doing was to lay on the ground, but in my mind I was travelling throughout the universe. I know the meaning of life.

I'm positive that it is different for everyone.

For me, I believe (that is to say I feel that I know) that the reason for life is the reciprocal of nothingness. Which is to say, necessary to avoid such. The purpose for our own lives is to continue the cycle of energy that is required to sustain future life. I do not believe in an afterlife. Rather, I am positive that when we die, the energy that gave us life is emitted back into the universe, where it is used, maybe not again for a hundred years or more, to spark the creation of another life. I am equally as positive that there are an infinite number of other life forms on an infinite number of planets in our universe. Our universe is infinity.

There is no definitive purpose for what we should do with our lives. We must choose for ourselves. Life itself will never end. It is an infinite cycle. But as long as I am living, I am going to devote my life to making our infintesimal earth a better place, and to help it sustain itself for as long as possible. For even though there is no explanation for our personal existence on the planet earth besides chance, I find this world mysterious and beautiful. I want as many other people as possible to experience life fully, and to have as many life experiences as possible. That is the meaning of life (condensed).

What purpose do you give yourself?

Two things: 1. Where do you get pure LSD? That would be too awesome for words.
2. Have you ever read "The Holographic Universe" by Michael Talbot?
Your post about the meaning of life is very interesting. You seem to beleive in a reality very similar to the holographic model.

Hey 187,
Thanks for the link, but basically that article was describing the holographic model in a nutshell. Talbots book goes many steps beyond that.
My understanding of the holographic models is this:
Have you ever thrown a pebble into a still pond (of course you have) notice the ripple it makes, try throwing a bunch of pebbles, see all the ripples coliding and interacting?
That is called an interferance pattern, the pattern contained on a holographic piece of film. Now imagine that each pebble in the pond is a conciousness (like your own) and the ripples are waves of energy that the conciousnesses emit, each concious being in existance contributing a wave of their own. Now imagine that instead of the two dimentional surface of the pond the waves of energy are traveling out in a three dimentional space, creating in essence a 3D interferance pattern, infinite in size and infinitely complex.
That pattern is the film that the movie of reality is projected from.

I encourage everyone to check out "The Holographic Universe" even if you don't subscribe to the holographic model it still provides an interesting point of view, and the book is really an easy read dispite how it may seem.

I would be very interested in reading that book.

I get LSD from a girl I know. She lives in a commune on the B.C. Coast. There is an LSD lab on her commune, as well as fields of pot (and growers of many other herbal hallucinogens). Have you heard of the artist Luke Brown? He is well known in the visionary art community. He lives in that community also, his artwork is on the blotter paper.

Stereograms are pictures you can see in 3D
Some consist of 2 pictures and you have to cross your eyes to see the 3d picture (takes a while to practice. And some consist of al kinds of weird patterns (and is actually 1 picture) and it's done in a way that when you cross your eyes en then zoom back slowly you can see depth in em (like shapes or forms or even a tekst)

Whitenoise rocks :D
