I HAVE READ MANY THREADS ABOUT CO2, BUT NEED TO KNOW YOUR HONEST OPINIONS. WOULD THE YIELD BE WORTH THE EXPENSE? I AM PLANNING ON PICKING UP TWO SMALL BOTTLES FROM MY WELDING STORE. ONE FOR MY VEG AND ONE FOR MY FLOWER. WILL I SEE ANY DIFF IN THE LAST 4 WEEKS OF MY FLOWER? OR AM I STARTING IT TOO LATE? THNX

You can make your own Co2 bottles..

You only need: some dry active yeast, some sugar and warm water!

Step 1, Put one liter off water in a bottle, then add 1/4 teaspoon off dry active yeast, then two cups of sugar; shake well, EVERYTHING must be disolved.. When you have done that, add ½ a liter of warm water shake until disolved, again...!

Put two or three of those bottles in your grow room, and you will see improved growth..

P.S. you need to see some bubbles in the water to know if it's a succses...!:D

IF I DO THAT IN 1 GALLON BOTTLES, HOW OFTEN DO I NEED TO CHANGE EM? THNX

yes its very good indeed, all you need is a hps presuming you have that already, you will probably need to change the bottles when there are no bubbles rising.

K. FOLLOWED YOUR RECIPE. NOW,,,, DO THE BOTTLES NEED TO BE KEPT DARK? LIKE IN WINE MAKING? I HAVE MINE IN VIEW OF MY HEATER, SO IT STAYS ABOUT 70/75 DEGREES. IS THAT TOO HOT? ALSO,, MY FLOWER ROOM IS 4'Dx6'Wx6'H. HOW MANY GALLON BOTTLES DO I NEED FOR THAT SPACE? AND I PUT A 1/2 GALLON BOTTLE IN MY VEG ROOM. 3Dx3Wx6H. ALSO, THEY'LL BE MAKING CO2 24/7. IS THAT OK? DO THE PLANTS NEED A QUIET TIME? (OH GRASSHOPPER, U HAVE SOO MANY QUESTIONS). WILL POST PICS OF THE SET-UP. THNX

I keep my bottles right under the lights.. I have no idea if this is bad, I'm only seeing good growth!:D

When the bubbles disapear, then you will need to change them!:)

Rasta told me, I could put another cup of sugar in there and shake, but my bubbles are still bubbling!:) been bubbling now for about 3 days!:)

I CHECKED THE VEG ROOM THIS MORNING,,,, I THINK I FOUND A WAY TO COVER UP THE WEED SMELL. SMELLS LIKE YEAST NOW, NOT WEED. HE HE

You sjould see the bubbles almost right away..!:)

WELL, I WENT A DIFFERANT ROUTE TODAY. THE YEAST SET UP WAS ONLY PRODUCING 1 BUBBLE THRU THE HOSE EVERY 30 SECONDS. SO I WENT TO VINAGER AND BAKING SODA. IT BUBBLES ALOT CONSTANTLY THRU THE HOSE. WILL POST A PIC TOMORROW. PRETTY KOOL SET-UP.

hey, powder puff, are the bubbles meant to be really visible like in a fizzy drink, or smaller. Ive given it a go and it doesnt seem to be working that good. I see bubbles at the top but none rising.

For me it looked like the bubbles that are in a beer! :)

Did you follow the instructions exactly??

I had to do it twice..! first time, I used the wrong type of sugar..! :o

Maybe you did the same thing?? :p

I ENDED UP USING 1 PACKET OF YEAST, 2 CUPS SUGAR, WARM,(100 DEGREE) WATER. I MIXED THE YEAST WITH 2 TBL SPOONS SUGAR AND 1 CUP WARM WATER. MIXED VERY WELL, SET IN WARM PLACE TIL FOAM HEAD WAS ABOUT 2". I HAD ALREADY DISOLVED THE REST OF THE SUGAR IN A 1 GALLON MILK JUG. I POURED THE YEAST MIX IN AND MIXED WELL AGAIN. I PUT A 1/4" AIRLINE IN THE CAP OF THE JUG, AND RAN THE OTHER END TO THE FRONT OF MY FAN. AS THE GAS EXPANDED,, IT WAS RELEASED IN FRONT OF THE FAN, BLOWING IT TO MY BABIES. BUT,,,, IT MAD GAS SOOO SLOWLY, THAT I HAVE GONE TO DRIPPING VINEGAR INTO A JUG OF BAKING SODA. WILL BE SPENDY IN THE LONG RUN, BUT WILL HAVE TO DO UNTIL I CAN AFFORD CO2 CANISTERS AND REGULATORS.

HERE'S SOME PICS OF THE VINAGER SET UP. ALSO. ONE OF MY BABY BUDS. END OF 4 WEEKS. 3 DAYS OF CO2, NOT SURE IF ITS DOING GOOD OR NOT YET.

I didn't do it like that, I just put the co2 in open bottles!:)

THIS DRIPS A DROP EVERY SECOND. THE VINEGAR LAST 1 DAY. PUTTING CO2 INTO THE AIR ALL DAY, LITTLE AT A TIME

The yeast method has lasted 6 days now!:)

It releases Co2 all the time as well!:)

WELL, AFTER NEGATIVE FEEDBACK FROM OTHER SITES, I HAVE DECIDED TO QUIT WITH THE CO2. SEEMS MY SET-UP IS TOO BASIC AND GENERIC TO BENEFIT FROM ANY CO2 ACTION. LIVE AND LEARN I GUESS. I'LL WAIT TIL NEXT GROW AND TRY IT IN A BETTER SET UP. :(

If you are using 18/6 hours, you [B][I]CAN NOT have the Co2 at dark hours..! Sorry, I forgot to mention it..! I Have put the lights on to 24/0, so I can have the bottles at all time!

Oh, I didn't know you made that update, I also understand now (again) you are in flower..! sorry, you can't use Co2 in dark hours, as a cannabis plant only does - how do you spell it - photosythesis, or something similar, on light hours! Sorry to have mislead you!:o Entierly my fault..!:o

Good thing you stopped anyways..!:)
