I hears that chocolate supposedly blocks the enzymes in the brain that bring down your high by attacking the cannabanoids present in your system, thus prolonging your high. Is this true?

I don't think so. It probably just adds a caffeine high on top of your weed high. I highly doubt such a detailed neurological connection between chocolate and marijuana could have been found, because laboratories can't even get weed for medical research, not to mention seeing what happens when they fuck around with chocolate and weed.

Chocolate has about as much caffeine as a cup of de-caffeinated coffee.

Chocalate contains anandamide, which happens to be an endogenous cannabinoid. It also contains N-acylethanolamines that inhibit the break down of anandamide but I don't know if it goes for THC as well.

I dunno; I'd need to read about it in a few places before I'm convinced.

and its research on chocolate and its sence of euphoria, not actually a link between some pot and chocolate

"While the findings from Piomelli's laboratory are very interesting, it would be premature to conclude that eating chocolate leads to anything like a marijuana high," he said.

Endogenous cannabinoid means that it is a chemical produced by our bodies that acts on the CB1 and CB2 receptors. Tetrahydrocannabinol exerts its effects by mimicking anandamide, which is also found in chocolate with some other chemicals called the N-acylethanolamines that prevent anandamide from being metabolized.

Similarly endorphins are the endogenous opiates if that helps any.
