My leaves are yellowing once again...need some marijuana wisdom in here.

It's been quite some time since I posted any of my growing. My last grow was a total botch, that's why the lack of posting. Long story short, I had a Big Blue lady and a Strawberry Cough lady...so I thought. Turns out, the BB was a female, SC wasn't. BB got a load blown on her, pollinated, seeded buds...BUT, the upside was I crossed 2 different, potent strains together, and the result was seeded buds, but about 50 mature, good seeds. I created a new strain! :thumbsup: I think that's how she works...

anyways...I grew out one of the seeds, decided to just have 1 plant going, but I tried something called topping. Here is a short rundown of the progress so far.

After 3 weeks from seed, in veg. stage, I gave her 2 small, 1/4 blasts of fish emulsion 5-1-1. Slight yellowing of leaves, stopped after feeding of 5-1-1.

After approx. 4 weeks of veg, I transplanted, 7 days later, I topped her at the 5th node.

10days later, after I saw her split into 2 tops, I switched to flowering.

2 weeks into flowering she starts yellowing again, so I give her some 10-15-10, not even 1/4 strength, very low dose. She continued to yellow, so I just watered with plain water, then a few days later I gave her another, not even 1/4 strength blast of 15-30-15...she continued to yellow, so I gave her 1/4 strength blast again.

She has seemed to slow down a little bit now, but now I fear overfeeding.

I have enclosed several pictures, so I hope it helps.

Vegged under 100w CFL's, flowering under 150hps. Temp is at a nice 20degC, good ventilation, I use 3/4 soil, 1/4 vermiculite and use tap water.Hmmmm...I think that is all.

I hope some of you made it through this long message :D as I do appreciate it much. Any help on ?WHY? my leaves are yellowing, please, give a feeble mind some insight.

You think so? Like, the leaves aren't dying off too fast, they just seem to be yellowing fully, then start to die.

I' also know that some of the original fan leaves turn yellow and die off during flowering. I just want to make sure this isn't too, too serious, as it seems to be slowly climbing up the plant.

Looks like you are slightly under feeding. Give them a complete nutrient solution you will see the difference within a week. Let us know how they turn out.

yeah, I concur, give them a full dose of nutes, but yellow leaves in flower means the plant is sucking nitrogen out of those leaves to use...no biggie...keep up the good work.lw

I was using 5-1-1 as well..my plants are doing the same I think i overdosed them with it, AFE is heavy shit ...Look at my grow thread I also have yellow leafs im not sure if i should clip them or not... and I have the same exact spot that you have on one of your leafs...Im on day 2 of flowering..Check my thread out maybe some of you can also help with my problem..

Lower fans will yellow and drop during flowering...don't worry bout it. I would consider switching over to a 10-50-10 on your nutrients though. Can't remember where I read that but it works for me. Good Luck and lookin good! :thumbsup:

i was gonna say that during flowering leaves turning yellow the dying and fallling off is not a bid deal. your plant is just taking nute from the leaves to make buds.don't wory about it............................but LW alread told you that.

:) Imho, the better the genetics the more they want to be fed...Now we all start out being strongly advised... :( Don't Over-nute, :( Don't Over-nute, and this is a good thing; :thumbsup: But when those big Blueberry's or Skunk's get into flower and start growing:eek:....Well; They want to EAT, so FEED them and have a happy :D harvest, later.lw :smokin:

I gave her a nice, full dose of some 15-30-15, and the yellowing has almost stopped, but not quite, but has slowed down big time. I plan on buying some 15-51-15 on Wed. and slowly start her on that soon. She's budding great and smelling like a bowl of fresh fruit. I'll keep you updated. Thanks again, peace and keep tokin!

I am revisiting this because I feel we missed one small piece of info...In flower your lower-bigger fan leaves start to yellow, because the plant is taking the nitrogen stored in the leaves, this is normal during flower. they yellow and drop off. As a matter of fact, that means you are doing the right thing...Imho. Good, you gave them some flower nutes. don't worry about the yellowing, unless you see it in your buds...as long as it is just leaves that is normal, they fall off and the buds get more nutrition. Imho.lw

well if u got the stuff, use it... But as someone else already said, the yellowing of the leaves is from the flower drawing the nitrogen from the leaves.

high again:stoned: well our room is 10 by 10. i believe theres approx 20 ladies in there. 3000 watts. 2 hps, 1 mh, they are fed according to feeding schedule. grow big,tiger bloom,big bloom, cha ching, monsta blossom are what we use at present time. as soon as i figure out how to i`ll post pics:D And guess what? ph is pretty normal!!!! they need nutrients!!!!! i told him! now another big favor from u guys: what is the name of the product that has those nutes? thanx again and keep on toking. mas sabe el diablo por viejo que por diablo;)

high everyone, i meant to mention the name of our girls, Oak. I have heard that some strains are meant to grow short and stalky, almost like a little bush. others grow tall, mainly for yield. I`m not very good with the pc, so i still don`t know how to post pics, sorry. thank you all and keep on toking!
