high all,
It has been one year since my guitar hero, Dimebag Darrell, was tragically shot down by some military dipshit. He inspired me, continues to inspire me, and always will.
For you who may not know who he is, he played guitar for over 10yrs with a band called Pantera. They broke up, he formed a new group, along with his bro. Vinnie, a band called DamagePlan. While on tour, 1 yr ago today, some military motherfucker, high on his American pride and his love of guns, shot Dimebag in the head 5 times, as well as killing his bodygaurd, Jeff "Mayhem" Thompson. The "kat", drum tech. was also shot but survived.
He died on the same day as John Lennon (weird huh), both were great musicians in their own way, but Dimebag, for me, was more of inspiration. Lets all sit back, toke up a fat ass bowl to......
Sir. Dimebag Darrell...
A legend.

I'm a Pantera, and dimebag fan as well as a major Randy Rhoads fan, who tragically died at the young age of 25 back in the early 80's, and was an amazing guitarist who could have led an amazing career if he was still alive.

No shit! And out of all of the people too to shoot.
I'd shoot that Micheal Jackson, little boy lovin, touching their goodies, spoiled, no good, stupid motherfucker before I'd shoot Dimebag.

Alice Cooper?! I swear he just had a concert here during the Halloween time.
But the others, yes, they are known as the "27 club."
Didn't Bon Scott, the old singer of AC/DC die at 27 as well? And Keith Moon?

Yea Cowboys from Hell is an amazing song! The first time I heard Cemetary Gates I got chills, and that's when I decided I was gonna listen to more Pantera! Dimebag was very creative with his axe! At least he got shot doing his favourite thing in the world, playing his music for his admiring fans!

whys he called dimebag
Read this in an article in Guitar World...down in Texas (where he grew up), everyone gives nicknames to each other, and his dealer nicknamed him Dimebag 'cause he could only afford to buy dimebags at a time.

I cranked it up in homage...
Save me from myself I call out
But no one hears my plea
Burn my candle fast from both ends
Nightmares grow from dreams
You don't know, you can't see through my eyes
So you don't know me
You don't know what's going through my mind
But can you help me
Save me from myself if you ever really cared
Save me from myself, tell me you're not scared
Intensity that grows within me
Reflections of my pain
I'll create or I'll destroy
But either way it's always in my veins
You don't know, you can't see through my eyes
So you don't know me
You don't know what's going through my mind
But can you help me
Save me from myself if you ever really cared
Save me from myself, tell me you're not scared
Save me... from me...
