Ive got myself an acrylic bubbler and I was just wondering, in advance, whats the best way to clean em' out? I heard you have to be more careful in what you use due to the whole melting factor
Any ideas guys?

no it's not...you should never use any type of harsh chemical on glass or acrylic bong...

wood, unless it's done right is going to be hard to clean, since if it's not treated right (durring the process of making the pipe, you need to have soaked it in water alot, sanded it back down to smooth and repeate this many times) it will more than likely ruin your pipe.... would suggest finding a way of doing it without any liquids, go to the pipe&tobacco stuff part of the store (it's not where you would find all the tobacco's, but the zippos, maybe the pipes, and all kinds of stuff people use with tobacco) and look for pipe cleaners...if you don't know what they are, i'm sure you've seen them before and just never knew it, they are used in alot of like school projects where you make something for the holidays, say as a reindeer's antlers... i just dont' know how to explain them.

hot water alone might work, depends on really what kinda resin you have in it... if it's really oilly and luiqidy then probably it would work, if it's more hard and caked on you might need alcohol....

Don't use acetone in a plastic piece. A lot of bongs are made from a plastic called acetate-- meaning acetone is an ideal solvent for it-- meaning your bong will melt like a wicked witch in a thunderstorm. I've heard that OxyClean works well, but I've not tried it.
As for glass, you can clean it with pretty much anything, and not worry about harming it.
