Bush Illegal Immigration "Tough Talk": Smoke and Mirrors

Steve Watson / Infowars | December 7 2005 (http://infowars.net/index.html)

With President Bush "talking tough on immigration" (http://www.cnn.com/2005/POLITICS/11/28/bush.immigration/) and strutting around border towns last week bleating on about how securing the borders is key to Homeland security, you have to ask the question why are his policies on illegal immigration all geared towards allowing more of it?

The president's "new" proposal would allow the 11 million undocumented workers in the United States to be certified as "guest workers" for a certain period of time, reportedly up to six years, after paying a penalty and then be forced to return to their home country, where they may apply for legal U.S. residency.

The House could vote as early as next week on several border security bills.

However, the plan is completely devoid of any incentives for illegal immigrants to emerge from the shadows or for businesses to employ a legal workforce. The only incentive built into Bush's proposal is for politicians from both parties eager to please Hispanic voters, who now comprise the nation's largest "minority".

Illegal immigrants will likely rather risk being caught by immigration than to pay $1,000 for a three- to six-year work visa that doesn't promise legal residency.

Just how exactly does Bush plan to enforce any of this?

Furthermore Bush's "new version" of immigration reform is exactly the same as his previous versions of reform, it equates to implementing the long term Neo-Con plan for total amnesty for illegal aliens in the US. We have previously extensively covered reports (http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=36064) of the bid to legalize illegal aliens. (http://www.prisonplanet.tv/Pages/Nov_04/101104_aliens.html)

Ask yourself, what message will it send to 11 million more would be illegal aliens if the US government actively grants work permits to known illegals? Legal immigrants have also highlighted this point (http://www.prisonplanet.com/articles/september2005/260905suckerplan.htm), voicing their outrage at the fact that they went the legal way around when it's being made easier to undertake the illegal route.

A November Gallup poll (http://news.webindia123.com/news/showdetails.asp?id=183603&cat=World) showed 26 percent of U.S. residents asked approved of the way Bush is handling immigration, while 65 percent disapproved.

Bush has justified the "guest worker" status proposal by stating that illegal immigrants are important in order "to fill jobs that Americans will not do."

If this is the case then why are over 5% of US citizens unemployed? Do they ALL refuse to take low paid jobs?

According to the research of Dr Douglas S. Massey (http://www.ilw.com/articles/2005,1207-massey.shtm), professor of sociology and public affairs at Princeton University, the idea that migration is caused by lack of economic development in migrantsā?? home countries and the idea that migrants move mainly in response to a differences in wages are both myths.

"Undocumented migrants continue to come to the United States, rates of apprehension are at all-time lows, and migrants are settling in the United States at higher rates than ever before. Rather than declining in number during the 1990s, the resident population of undocumented migrants grew at an unprecedented rate, causing Hispanics to overtake African Americans as the nationā??s largest minority far earlier than Census Bureau demographers had predicted." Says Massey.

Earlier this year we also covered reports that revealed how illegal immigrants are getting well paid skilled jobs, in some cases top aircraft mechanic jobs (http://www.prisonplanet.com/Pages/Apr_05/160405_airforce_immigrants.html).

Earlier this year the New York Times reported (http://www.prisonplanet.com/articles/may2005/110505uspays.htm) that the Bush administration had initiated a program to start paying hospitals and doctors for providing emergency care to illegal immigrants. Members of Congress from border states had sought the money, totaling $1 Billion. They said treatment of illegal immigrants imposed a huge financial burden on many hospitals, which are required to provide emergency care to patients who need it, regardless of their immigration status or ability to pay. The administration had previously abandoned a proposal that would have required many hospitals to ask patients if they were U.S. citizens or legal immigrants.

The Immigration debate has divided much of the nation into groups that believe either that illegal immigrants steal jobs and strain social services, or groups that contend nonresidents are valuable for taking on gritty, low-paying menial work. The truth is that both these things are true.

The cultural impact that this movement is having on America is undoubtedly destructive. Religion, ethics and culture expert Frosty Wooldridge asks (http://www.prisonplanet.com/articles/february2005/010205breakup.htm), in his article The Coming Break-Up Of America:

"Have you noticed more and more people speaking different languages at the supermarket? Schools? Movies? At your local bank? Have you noticed radio stations and TV crackling with Spanish or other languages in our English speaking America? Have you seen more people disrespecting the singing of our national anthem? Have you noticed our laws being broken such as red lights being run or people fleeing accident scenes where they were the cause? Have you noticed more trash in your state and national parks, especially in California, Arizona, Texas and Georgia?"

All of these small but noticable things are the result of culture friction and an absence of respect for the environment some illegal aliens are frequently moving in and out of. Trends show that Illegals stay only two years in The US and are not seeking permanent residence.

Social, political and economic forces are pulling America apart and driving her toward a bloody conflict that may fracture the nation into several different countries. Bush's rhetoric of allowing a legal force of underling workers that will do the dirty work for America sounds like a direct avocation of a creation of a massive underclass of illegal, Third World, uneducated and poor slaves.

We are talking about an advanced empire state with a class based multicultural chowder bowl for a population, something has to give somewhere. The Soviet Union and The former Yugoslavia are telling examples of what happens when many cultures are played off against one another and asked to coexist within one country. Most recently this cultural phenomenon has been evident in France which seems to be on the same track of self-destruction with its massive non-assimilating 2nd generation Muslim population.

This cultural rift is already overwhelmingly evident in the US. We have previously covered the Nightmare Racism and Open Call for Revolution (http://www.prisonplanet.com/articles/september2005/190905nightmareracism.htm) from groups such as the Atzlan reconquista movement, MEChA and La Raza who call their American based radio stations "the Invasion". Such groups have no desire to respect US culture and wish for nothing more than the US to be broken up. (http://www.prisonplanet.com/articles/july2004/160704ifmexico.htm) Of course these groups are minority movements, yet their reach evidently becomes increasingly appealing to proud Mexicans when the President tells them they can come to the US and do awful jobs because they are less worthy than Americans.

We have also exposed how illegal immigration is being used by drug commando organizations such as Los Zetas (http://www.prisonplanet.com/articles/august2005/140805borderwars.htm) to gain unrestricted passage into the US. Former DEA agents (http://www.prisonplanet.com/articles/june2005/090605mexicancommandos.htm) have come forth declaring that such groups, admittedly trained by the US Government are being used as front groups for CIA and government controlled narcotics operations. To shut down illegal immigration and strengthen the borders would go some way to prevent such lucrative activities, therefore it's a government no-no.

And then of course there's CAFTA and the FTAA (http://www.prisonplanet.com/articles/december2004/091204immigration.htm). The globalist cabal's meal ticket towards raping an entire continent of its resources and sovereign capabilities. Strengthening the borders is not on the Agenda here, the FTAA is all about DISSOLVING the borders.

We have also seen in the past how "immigration control efforts" such as Real ID (http://www.house.gov/paul/congrec/congrec2005/cr020905.htm) are simply smoke and mirrors behind which lie methods of control, outrageous elitist profiteering and the destruction of freedom.

So Bush may strut around all he wants saying he is "cracking down" on illegal immigration, what he really means is that he is attempting to eliminate it by getting rid of the borders and legalizing illegal migrant workers.
