Egold or elemon?

Hey all,
Got a question for peeps esp Uk which is is egold ok to use? I've just signed up to them for the first time after finding recently that I had no decent and secure payment options anymore. :(
I've gone through the paypal stage and been very lucky to get away with that one, have been closed down by nochex for not being able to explain all the funny looking regular payments and can't do the cash in the post option as I've promised my partner I'd never take that risk and don't want to break my promise.
Trouble is that leaves egold or cutting down on the growing (which could be cool too) so really I guess I'm asking does anyone use egold nowadays and if so does the system work ok or have I signed up to a lemon? I know it looks more difficult than paypal to pay cash in and get it out again and can accept that but only if its worthwhile (which I suppose means other peeps use it) so wanted some feedback if poss.
Any advice, opinions or especially experience with them would be really appreciated esp from a UK point of view as I've only signed up and am a right newbie with them and don't want to get ripped in any way like you can with paypal. :question:

I think Egold is very secure and safe however it is a bit of a pain in the ass to fund the account especially with a credit card. Be vary careful about who you use to fund the account since there are a lot of scam types out there. Be aware that the value of the account is directly tied to the price of gold and therefore can go up or down based on that value. At least I think that's how it works.

but anyway, e-golds a fucking pain and costs the buyer an extra £10 basically to transfer money onto the account, it is legit though, but it sucks.. what about storm pay? or starting a new account with no chex, nochex is definately the best one out of the lot, just say youre making world peace and u just get alot of donations lol, or some shit, cant be that hard
cash in the mail is also good mate if youre keeping it in the UK, no paper trail either, definately my choice

I'm surprised that Nochex closed an account just because of regular payments, unless it was the amount of money involved. Surely busy sellers of any kind of item have regular payments coming in. I'd be too paranoid to use them personally.. far too much of a trail left behind and they seem the kind of company who'd hand over peoples details to the law without question. Unless sellers have a safe address for taking mailed cash it seems like egold's the only fairly risk free option..

Egold is a pain in the arse to use, it is expensive and now you cant buy egold with a credit or a debit card so you have to do a bank wire which takes time.

I was pondering the other day if people ever use online poker tables to transfer money. Arrange a time, place and private table via Hushmail and then just play a few hands (badly) to give the money to the seller. I guess the risk depends on how cooperative the companies behind the sites are..
