Im not saying hes not talented but this surely didnt demonstrate it. I am a drummer so I am critical of this performance because he didnt really do anything to impress me. The first half was an annoying cymball solo and then he went into some drumming that was ok but not spectacular. The ending looked sped up/ enhanced and not fluid natural movement.
I ve seen a 10 yr old do better.
That is my opinion.
Although, when i first started I wasnt quite as fast as him. Im much faster than him now on a single skin.

I'm a drummer as well... and to say that Flo is unimpressive is a crime. Well, sure though you're right about the video... it's not THAT great. But still his speed is impressive... and the end is what is most impressive. It's not sped up, and if you think so though then good, you've been fooled.

And besides it's from an instructional video so it's just rudiments and stuff like that.

Im not saying he isnt impressive, just that that one video didnt impress me.
What made me think the vid was sped up was the jerky disjointed head movements. It just doesnt look natural.
But if its not sped..DAMN that is fast.
btw I checked out his site and dude can PLAY! What impresses me is his ability to have 3 petals ( one foot) going so fast with such complicated rythm while his hands are goin just a nuts!
thanks for the intro. I had never heard of him until now. For someone who appreciates multi level rythms I liked his samples on his site.

He's doing those jerky head movements because he's playing as fast as he can. As a guitarist I know because sometimes when I'm tremolo picking like 18 NPS (notes per second) I tense up like that too.

Yep, of course... Anyone would. To play at that rate you have to get your whoel body into it.

Try None So Vile... there best album imo. Much crazier then BMF and with better production... though not as complex as their later albums... but the most brutal and best executed album.

cryptopsy is probably the best, most reputable and talented canadian death metal band to date.

Neil Peart's drum solos are way better than this guy

This guy had speed but it was a little sloppy and boring sounding

Neil Peart was this guys idol... Don't judge this guys talent based on this video. I posted it only because he goes insanly fast at the end. If you want to actually hear this guys drumming check out Cryptopsy. Phobophile is awesome... but it's death metal so I'm not sure you'd like it.
