Anyone know what the laws of possession are in Japan? I have been may places in Asia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Seoul, and Tokyo. I know Singapore and HK have VERY, VERY strict narcotic laws! This has been made even more clear by the headlines about the guy that was executed for heroine possession in Singapore this week. I remember when I was there reading in the paper how a guy was given life in prison for possession of pot!!

But Iâ??m not sure what the laws are like in Korea and Japan. I might be moving to Tokyo in the next 6 months so I am intested in knowing. I have a feeling they are not very friendly either and I will be giving up pot permanently as soon as I go, I was just hoping Japan was a little better than most other place in Asiaâ?¦

well its illegal to spit out gum in certain places in Japan so i can only imagine possession would get you .. say 20 to life. thats if you're willing to pay for the big bucks hot shot lawyers.

is it true that police in Tokyo have lightsabers?

The Japanese are very, VERY paranoid about pot. I would suggest giving it up just to be safe.

Here's a link (http://www.taima.org/en/taimalaw.htm) if you need more info.

That is actually not true at all. And most people think that about Singapore too. Having spent a good deal of time in both places I can tell you this for a fact. There are no laws about chewing gum in any of those countries. When you ask the locals about it they just laugh and laugh that people in the west actually believe that.

Haha, you don't need to get rid of, or give up, anything.

If you don't have any connections within 2 weeks, contact me, and I guarantee you'll be fine.

Wow. Who ever thought a guy (or girl, sorry) from Kansas would want to know the Japanese Drug Law?
