My very 1st Drug Test and I am Soooo unprepared!!! HELP!!!

I am now unemployed after 11 years and am trying to get a descent job. I didnt realize that almost everyone does drug tests these days, so I am pretty unprepared for this. After numerous applications and interviews at places that dont test, I've come to a dead end. I guess they see what I made at my previous employment and wonder why I would be willing to take such a paycut, so I get no calls. What they dont realize is that I've become desperate! I haven't been applying at jobs where I know they drug test, because I know I wouldnt pass. Well, I'm so desperate now that I called a job service that I saw in the newspaper for a factory job. I have to face the drug test if I want a descent job I realize. I am a heavy user and smoke about every day, but I haven't smoked since Thursday Night. I have to go into the job service Tuesday morning. He told me to plan on being there for a few hours. I am wondering if they are going to do the drug test right then? Then I'm thinking it's probably a urine test so I'll have to do some research and figure out how to pass it. But when he told me to plan on being there for a few hours, he also said and we don't have a public restroom just so you know being here that long. Does anyone know what kind of drug test that Kelly Services do? Urine, saliva, hair, blood??? I'm really scared over the whole thing now. I just don't know what to do....Can anyone give me any advice???? I would appreciate any input. Thank you for your time.

buy some niacin b12 and take 3 pills everyday between now and the test. alos try to work out a bunch each day. drinka lot of cranberry juice, green tea (like arizona green tea) and water.

Thanks for the info. Do you think they're going to do a urine test? Makes me wonder since he said that there are no public restrooms...

I would bet that it will be a urine test. I've actually passed 3 urine tests of my own and my girlfriend passed hers using my method, but I always try to caution people to understand that this is a method that seems to work for me, it's not like I've done scientific tests. Well, other than the urine tests. :stoned:

Basically follow certain rules, such as don't use your 1st or 2nd, or even 3rd urine of the day. When filling the sample cup, don't begin filling until you've emptied some of your bladder.

But here's my advice. About 2 or 3 hours before you expect to actually pee, start drinking a good amount of water. You should be good if you drink like a litre or so of water. You should begin peeing regularly and you should notice that it is clear at this point. Don't slow down, you want to pee, run to the place and pee again clear if possible.

When my girlfriend took the test, I guess they noticed it was clear and asked if she drank a lot of water, she said, yup. :) She didn't mean to really but she didn't know what to say. Either way she drinks tons of water anyway throughout the day.

I heard you can tike like B12 (I think that was the one) to add color to your urine also.

But to summarize, if I'm not mistaken THC is not water soluable, so drinking water days in advance won't do too much, so you'll want to drink a lot so that you pee mostly water. These tests are not 'positive results' unless you have enough traces to show a positive reading. What I'm trying to say is it can show traces of THC and be considered a negative result because it is too low to meet the threshold requirements of a positive result. :thumbsup:

Most likely it's a standard urine strip test since companies do this to keep their lawyers and insurance companies happy and don't want to spend much money on it if they don't have to. However, if you are a daily smoker you're best shot is to either quit for at least 30 days prior to any test, or use someone elses urine. Presumably you are getting unemployment comp so another couple weeks will not be to hard on your financial status.
Gods I hate these drug test assholes. This has become a multimilion dollar industry and I'll bet every company that makes these tests has contributed tons of money to the democans and republicrats. Their big fear is hiring an addict and not being able to fire them because of the ADA laws and having to fork out for their rehab. They don't test for alcohol, which is probably one of the worst and it in no way prevents the really hard core druggies like meth, coke, booze and heroine addicts from passing since those drugs get out of your system in little or no time.

While you're loading up on water before the test, you may also want to take a large dose (50-100 milligrams) of vitamin B-2, available in B-complex multivitamins. The purpose of this is to color your urine yellow, since otherwise you are likely to produce clear, watery urine, which makes some collectors suspicious (contrary to rumor, vitamin C won't help).

Thanks so much for the info. 420kidder: I am like your girlfriend.... I drink a lot of water throughout the day also because I dont care for soda, etc.... I never knew they would be suspicious of that. I probably would of said the same thing she did. I'm learning alot on this message board. I'm really glad I found it. bonsaiguy : I TOTALLY agree with you. Whats the harm in a little pot?? I never smoked in the morning before or during work when I was employed. It was always after to sit and relax and enjoy the high. These other more harmful drugs out there I also heard that they dont stay in your system for long at all. It's just not right. Schizferatu: Is it vitamin B2 or B12 or does it matter which one you take??? And what about the niacin that jailer3000 mentioned? Is that a vitamin? Can you buy it the same place as vitamins? niacin b12....its just a from of vitamin B.... i have heard it works betetr and it speeds ur metabolism up and helps burn a lil more fat where the THC is stored

For coloring sample darker : B2 I know people who swear by Niacin, you can get it anywhere, Wal-Mart, CVS, Walgreens. I don't trust it myself.

I thought I would give an update here. Okay I didn't go to the drug test that Tuesday morning. I found out that the job was 12 hour shifts, days for 1 month, then nights for the next, and it kept rotating like that. They also wanted a 6 mo. contract?? The pay was $6.75hr!!! I'm use to making over double that amount damnit!!! I just couldnt see going through all of this for a measley $6.75 an hour and he told me it wouldn't increase unless the company themselves hired me. :( :eek: On the brighter side........ I found another job that I'm trying for that pays closer to what I use to make. :) I'm not sure when the drug test will be, but I've been trying to prepare for it so that I am ready. Still haven't smoked since last Thursday. Took the advice on here and started the Niacin, B12, 100% aspirin, and drinking lots of water. I found out there's a rehabilitation place in town that you can walk in to, pay $15 and they'll give you a drug urinalysis and you don't even have to give them your name. I went there last night and did it. I made sure I didnt get the start of the stream or the last of the stream in the cup. She said they test for 10 different drugs. WELL I PASSED ALL!!! I couldn't believe it after only being smoke free for 6 days! Thanks to all of you! I did notice that my sample only had a tint of yellow which kind of worried me, but she didnt say anything about it. I was wondering if maybe I'm not taking enough of the B12? The B12 I bought comes in 500mcg. I looked it up and 1000mcg is equal to 1mg. Anyone know how many of the B12 I should take to make the sample a little darker? Shouldn't it be darker?? Thanks!!!!
