Was the glass broken before you switched the system on bro?

what a pointless board.. you contribute jack shit to this site, you know that right?
This made me think back to.....
It depends on what strain you are growing. Some strains like alot of nutrients others don't tolerate them well at all. Your best bet would be here www.genhydro.com in the nutrient section. This way you can mix your own strength solution instead of buying a preset one and hoping it's right.
To save yourself alot of headaches and lost money don't grow without researching cannabis growing first. 75% of the mistakes I see on here are because someone didn't read up on the subject first. If your not serious then how are your plants going to be serious hmmm? Most of the time when you make a mistake in growing it's too late to take it back so RESEARCH.
Here is one free site I know of to reference www.weedfarmer.com
But to be serious you need to go buy a book on the subjuct. Belive it or not Barnes&Noble, Borders and Books A Million carry these books in stock right in the gardening section usally on the bottom shelf. If you don't put your mind and heart into it your gonna come up with less money and empty handed. Go ahead ignore what I say and you'll be back at this thread again.
Just my two cents.
Good Cannabis Book [I own a copy] www.cannabisbook.com
Miracle Gro was your first mistake. It contains time released nutrients that will not affect your plant well when you want to add your own nutrients. I reccomend Fox Farm Ocean Forest Potting Soil www.foxfarm.com
And your containers are too small. You need one gallon of container for each foot of plant growth you expect.
To awnser your questions.
1- Every few days typically. Do not water until the pot feels [almost] bone dry. But don't let it dry out all the way. Alot of the frequency depends on your conditions. Heat,humidity.etc.etc.
2- Yes pH is a big deal in any growing application. That spring water your using. Drink it but don't feed it to your plants. In the long run it causes sediment build up in the soil which is bad to put it nicely. Use Reverse Osmosis [RO Water] or Distilled Water. 69 cents at any grocery store buddy.
3- 24/0 will work better. Cannabis does not require a dark period duing vegetative growth to rest from photosynthesis. Your plants will grow faster from it. When you are ready to flower just change it to 12/12. Only two cycles in the entire plants life. 24/0 for vegetative and 12/12 for flowering.
Hope I did'nt bum you out or anything and good luck. By the way try to get away from those fluros they don't produce good yeilds and the buds are always airy. Click the link under my signature to see what I mean.
This is not the best reference in the world to growing cannabis but it's free.

I thought I would start a thread on where to get hydroponic supplies online so that it would save other people time searching for them. All of the websites listed below I have personally conducted buisness with in the past and are found to be safe, freindly and affordable. If you have any hydroponic websites to add to the list please do so. Just online stores please no unsafe or headshop websites.

Yeah buddy no touchie the seedies okay. Human oil and nature in this case do not mix well. Just let god do his thing and don't sweat it. I sound like a hippie.
Like everyone else said don't sweat it. They are fine. When 70% of those white pistils turn amber or brown it's time to harvest ok.
If your a first time grower maybe you should try soil first to see the stages of plant growth and to get a "harvest" under your belt before going hydro. I have a grow light system for sale here at http://boards.cannabis.com/showthread.php?p=477879#post477879
Here is a list of good hydro stores I have compiled for you.

Wherever you order your seeds from it needs to be www.seedsdirect.to They are very secure. You get your seeds inside of an original breeder pack which is inside of an empty CD case. They don't write seeds on the package either so you don't have to worry about security risks. They are affordable and reliable. They sell all of the worlds best breeders brands. And you also get a free pack with every order.

Metal halide is best for plants in their vegitative state and high pressure sodium is best for plants in their flowering stages but if you can only afford one go ith a conversion bulb or a Eye Hortilux Bulb which is a HPS bulb but with added blue and green spectrum
www.eyehortilux.com
You know there's a difference between a strain and a hybrid. When a hybrid stops having wild variations in it's phenotype and begins to grow uniform with the same types of hybrids it then becomes a strain. In short hybrids grow up to be strains when breeders get all of the variations out. Just a tidbit of info.
Yes you can make a wooden grow chamber. I have one with over $2000 worth of equipment inside growing 12 plants at a time. Here's a list of what I used. You can figure out how it all goes together.

Hope this was of help to you in some way. Good luck.

There's a partial listing. All in all there are over 450 different strains and breeds of cannabis pure or mixed from three different species known as Sativa, Indica and ruderellis. These 450+ strains were all bred from only 6 different original strains known as landrace strains. It is belived cannabis was here long before humans possibly before prehistoric times. And no I'm not a walking encylcopedia I just like to think I am.
Yes lowryder is considered a ruderellis species of cannabis. I suggest using a bulb like an (Eye Hortilux HPS) with added blue spectrum or a (SunMaster Warm Deluxe MH) with added red spectrum to acheive the best possible out of your plant. Good luck.
If it's to hot for your hand at the top of the canopy then it's to hot for your plants. 75ºF is the optimal tempature for cannabis. If you use CO2 then your plants can endure tempatures up to 90ºF for short durations of time if your CO2 is dispersed at 1500 ppm. Hope this was of help to you.
By the way I highly recommend the HydroFarm Active Air Squirrel Cage Fans. They can be found at www.hydrofarm.com if you want to see one and they are american made and affordable. Dayton Fans are german made and I think they are too loud for the application that your using it for. Good luck to you.
Squirrel Cage Fan or Inline Exhaust Fan my friend. www.hydrowarehouse.com
Click on ventilation. CFM's stands for Cubic Feet Per Minute. I calculated your grow room dimensions and they meausure at 180CFM's. So buy one of the fans I suggested at 180CFM's or higher. You must evacuate the old air out of the room at least onces every five minutes or once a minuite being optimal. Good luck.
Nitrogen deficency or salt buildup. Flushing plants is a risky thing to do as well you know. Your just flushing out all of the nutrients bro. Best thing to do when growing is don't fuck it up.
That light kit your looking at is pretty crappy in my opinion bro. No offense meant. If moneys not an issue to you why not grow like a pro. First get this book at borders or barnes&noble for $20 www.cannabisbook.com then start looking at top notch equipment like HydroFarm www.hydrofarm.com or Sunlight Supply www.sunlightsupply.com or Sunleaves www.sunleaves.com You want top notch plants then you gotta be top notch brother. Good luck and overgrow the goverment!!!
I was wondering if you all have personally shopped at an online store call Hydroponics Warehouse. www.hydrowarehouse.com The prices are lower than anyone else I've seen on the internet which of course raises suspicion to me anyways. If you all think I'm pananoid then you should read about (Operation Green Merchant) at http://www.cannabisculture.com/articles/4557.html So if anyone has personally shopped at Hydroponics Warehouse or if you have any thoughts on it please respond in this thread. Thank you much.
When you are growing two strains in the same grow space it is advised to put the shorter ones under the light with the taller ones near the edges so the smaller strain does not have to compete with the taller strain for your precious light and also mke sure you label your strains or you may forget which strain is which. Hope I helped you out somewhat. Good luck to you and overgrow the goverment!!!
Bill Thick..... You are a true Cannabis Professional!
Welcome to the club.
Hello there UK Green. The general rule of thumb when it comes to growing cannabis is only one plant per pot. Then your container size must match gallons versus height of the plant. I don't know the metric system very well so I'm going by standard american engineering here. Say your cannabis plant was three feet tall then you would have to have a three gallon cointainer to grow it in to allow the roots space to grow without encountering nutrient lockout in which the plant has taken up all of the space availible to it and asorbed all of the nutrients out of the medium. To make it more simple remember one gallon per foot of the plant. Here's an american site for nursery containers you can view. http://www.midwesthydroponics.com/products/hydro_products.asp?category=260
They are very inexpensive to purchase. I hope I was of help to you and good luck brother.
On some strains it is normal for the (Embyrotic Leaves) to yellow and die. Just as long as the (Compound Leaves) don't yellow you'll be fine. As for the light kit situation I responded to your thread on that subject. Go see what I wrote there. Good luck once again bro. I know your pissed off as I would be too. I happen to know the guy who runs InsideSun. His name is Mike. If he gives you any shit on the return deal lemme know and I'll see what I can do. I'm selling a brand new light kit with a hortilux bulb and heavy duty timer if your interested. It's a good deal if your on a tight budget. If you wish to see it here's the link. http://boards.cannabis.com/showthread.php?t=40417 Rest assured I won't screw you over like they did.
Foil and Mirrors=Bad Idea
Use Mylar (2 Millimeter), Foylon or Sunleaves Ultraflect if you want good results. If you bought a good grow light kit why waste your money wasting light?
No it is not. The general rule of thum is one plant per pot and one gallon for each foot the plant is tall. Heres an example. A three foot tall plant would require a minimum pot size of three gallons but the larger the pot is the more room the roots have to grow thus increasing plant height and overall bushiness. Hope this was of help to you.
Damn. Looks like your right Bob Bong. I don't contribute Jack Shit.

And you've just assumed that what you've contributed is correct? I can find a few things that would make any experienced grower uncomfortable if given as genuine "advice".
Thanks for quoting yourself to death though...really.. quite needed.
You say you contribute, yet riddle us with useless posts and threads.. not to mention obscene pictures accompanied by bullshit stories.
Time tells all man.. and you've only been here 2 weeks and already managed to offend a number of people and be nothing but a pain in the ass
